Stock 1/4 mile times

Just wanted to see what the Arizona locals were running the 1/4 mile in stock here in the Phoenix area. I have a 2005 silver evo and I have run a 13.5 bone stock. Is that pretty good, just normal, or what? It was with a 1.82 60' time.

Decent 60' time but normal quarter miles time. What was the trapped speed?

you're a couple tenths quicker than the other cars running stock. i did a 13.7 in the '05 with 3/4 tank a gas & a stroller in the trunk...

99 mph. I guess w/ a slipping clutch too according to Mark Mitsubishi since I just took it there to have the brakes checked.

For the people that don't understand, Arizona has bad weather and elevation, and EVOs are slower there then anywhere else in the US.

Yeah, it can be pretty slow compared to others. I'm happy though.

fastevo,

Your times are about right, I am assuming you ran in Phoenix. You would hardly see a Evo8 running bellow 13.5 stock in Phoenix or Tucson.

I ran a first pass of 13.8 then I ended with a 13.4@ 105 but I had a downpipe and a air filter also I ran in Tucson which is about 1900 feet higher than Phoenix.

13.5@99 is very good man!! maybe a 101-103 mph would have been a better deal though.
your 60' was right on the spot.

Cool, yeah it was here in Phoenix at Firebird Raceway. Can't wait to get some stuff done, just need to get a good deal on some parts here. I will hopefully get it into the 12's with some bolt ons. We'll see I guess.
