Oh and I don't know if you've mod'ed your car much, but for this kinda stuff, keep the mods at a minimum. One of the best things I've learned is to change one thing at a time only. Then go on to the next mod if needed once you learn what the previous change has done. I got mod happy on the RSX and it got to the point where I didn't know what affected what and the car ended up handeling worse then before so I had to back track...
Road courses rule!

DO NOT go out and buy ra-1s or something else for a first time tire.
Run whatever you have, all-season's are better. If you go out with a ton of grip, you won't learn. When you have a limited amount of grip, you'll appricate what a good tire will do for you.

You really honestly, should bleed the brakes, and check the pads, possibly swap them with a "mild" performance pad, if you're mechanically inclined.
Well since I have been deployed I have bought new slotted and dimpled rotors, SS Lines, and 4 new Falken Azenis ST-615's. I am getting new pads so I can have a track set up of pads, rotors and wheels and tires and of course a flush of new fluid. I am thinking of buying a spare set of tires is why I ask.
thanks for the info guys. I've been wanting to try this for awhlie now. I would like to try road atlanta if you guys have any more info on it. This will be my first time out so I do need a place that isn't to crazy. although robeling does look easier than road atlanta, maybe I'll try both.

Make sure you get the wrench to get the lines off (box end with a cut in it) otherwise you'll just round off the brass connections (don't ask).
I run the stock bbs wheels as street wheels and 5zigen's with ra-1's as track wheels. I highly recommend doing the same if you're serious and get into it, if not, run what you have.
Biggest thing, make sure you have a good helmet, and safety gear ( harnesses help, but without a roll bar, you have a risk of serious injury if you roll). Try not to invest too much before you try it, you may honestly say "this isn't for me".
Not everyone is willing to risk their 30k+ car on a track. Hate to say it, but it has to be said, what will you do if you do have an accident and wreck the car? Always have to keep that in mind.
