You're boosting higher, but need to taper more at higher RPM's to avoid pre-detonation IE, the area under the curve is still practically the same. All I can say to everybody is don't get caught up with peak boost numbers! Tune for the type of driving you do.

Thanks for the link! I know you already know this, but I am going to state so that other people who may not know can read this: knock/detonation isn't the only contributor to an engine blowing--there are a number of other factors involved, and one of the biggest is the strength of the engine components. You could have absolutely zero knock but still blow and engine if you are putting to much stress on a part (a rod for example).

I take it you plan on upgrading to ARP rod bolts? If so, I still have a set ready for you to install on Andrea's Evo.

Yeah, but stress in our application is caused by two things, high boost and and high RPM's. High boost is a relative term and 4G63's have shown to hold 30+ psi with stock internals. High RPM's is also nice, but again relative so 7.4k - 8k is not a problem as this is stock. Up these numbers and you better build up the engine. Alan is running 25psi and near stock RPM limit so... check, check... he's golden

Understood. If his Evo is golden than Andrea's must be as well.

Brakes Replaced

Well I had my Brake Pads and Stainless Lines installed at Reese Tuning on Tuesday. I went with the Hawk HPS pads front and rear, and the Bucsher Brake Lines, with Motul 600 Fluid. I have to give props to Clint, Brad and James at the shop for the effort they put in, Clint was very careful with my car, Brad was at his side, and James even busy with other customers came out to check on things and to turn a few wrenches too. Overall Very pleased with the shop, very courtous staff, freindly, and affordable. Reese is a good shop hands down. As for the Hawk Pads, initially, they squeeled louder than a punk kid in elementary school! after a couple hundred miles of seating, they are hushing up. As for the Lines, pedal feel is MUCH improved. I will give an update on the Pads as I get more miles on them. Anyone out in the Imperial, San Diego area give Reese Tuning a try, not only will you be happy with the results, but will be treated fairly and with respect.......Now a days we all know how hard that is to find.......
