I know they had to replace the rear quarter panel, new front lip/bumper, new rear tail light, new trunk. I'm sure I'm missing things, but it was over $7k

What is your deductible? $500? If I ran my car off the road and it only cost me $500 I'd consider myself pretty darn lucky. Count your blessings. The next time it may cost somebody their invaluable life--yours or anyone elses.

Oh wait...did I just make a douche bag, worthless post? Oh well. It is dumb**** actions like this that drive insurance premiums up across the board. Thanks. Go back to driving go-carts.

I am not the most responsible driver, but I don't go out trying to street race everybody, or go out hauling *** through corners on public roads. When and if I ever catch a case of stupidity and engage in something like this and crash, I'd man-up and pay for the repairs out of my own pocket. It is not fair that responsible drivers continue to pay increased premiums because of idiot drivers.

Own your mistakes.

Let's not stir anything else up now. I'm sure he learned from it and I'm glad nothing happened to him.

Who is doing the body work for you?

I am not trying to create any additional drama. Simply keeping it real. Yes, I am very glad that he is ok, but at the same time he needs to understand how foolish his actions were and how it impacts the rest of society.

If God-forbid I end up almost totaling my car and endangering my life I sure as hell would understand that stuff first hand lol. That's why I'm always scared of mountain runs, because there's too many factors out there that could happen, especially at night. Although I have to admit it is nice to cruise with a pack of Evos around a mountain at night though! I've been putting my car to good use with auto-x and road racing ftw!

Thank you. Take your spirited driving to the track. Whether it be drag racing, road racing or autocrossing. Nothing good can come of it on the streets. We are all guilty of acting stupid on public roads, but at some point (sooner rather than later) we all must realize that we aren't just talking about our own lives at stake but everyone elses.

With that said, if anybody is down for some spirited driving in a controlled environment, I am down!

Dude we live in SAN DIEGO, there are no Road race course around the corner, we don't have a real drag strip any more unless you really get your jollys off parking lot races Sure there are autocross session but your talking about 8-10 HOURS in a parking lot working or waiting for yout 6-10 minutes of total driving. Oh crap have a bad run, you have to wait another 3 hrs to get s second crack..literally seconds too, 70second runs LOL....doesn't sound too fun to me.

I'll be on Palomar and other back roads enjoying my car with other real motor heads, doesn't matter WTF we ride, either be a motorcycle, EVO, S2k or my miata. If I crash my car, I'll buy another, simple as that.

We ALL know the risk taking what we drive on those roads and those speeds. Yes I feel bad that Brain crashed his car, but he didn't crash it in the twisties, something really bad happened ON THE STRAIGHT SECTION that caused him into the ditch. Shake it off and learn from that mistake whatever it might have been. Hell it could have been a deer on the road he was trying to avoid or some wild **** like that.

No reason to sound like *** hat when you have a 300+hp EVO. what do you keep it in 5th going 35mph think not

Me a midget? What, do you think you are tall? We are about the same height so calling me a midget is like calling yourself a midget as well.
