An interesting thing about the boost plot is how the baseline pull made full boost around 2.8k rpms....that's unheard of....was that pull done in 5th gear? Also looks like the pull was started at around 1.5k rpms....Seems like the dyno was loaded pretty heavy to make it boost like that....something just not right....
The final 91oct boost plots looks normal along with the E-85 pull....and they were both started at a reasonable rpm...

Was Robert sitting in the back seat?
"The baseline run was setup for ECUBoost, and it was running crazy high boost. I immediately changed him to a MBC and that solved his boost problems. The second run just reflects a much more sane boost level on 91. Load shouldn't have any impact on the maximum boost level reached, if the boost controller is actually controlling the boost properly. The boost came on sooner because the boost was set so crazy high, so it spiked up a lot more in the low RPM range on its way to 26psi.
The dyno load is actually higher on the subsequent runs in an effort to make sure the car was happy doing long runs in our hot SoCal weather. The Baseline was done with a 12 second sweep from 2500-7500 rpm. After I retuned it and installed the MBC, I tested it with 22 second sweeps to make sure there was no knock.
Normally I do 3 pulls for the baseline, but it was audibly pinging and with the boost hitting over 26psi on 91 I was real scared to do more pulls."
Here is Scot's explanation as to what happened:

Justin, not trying to instigate anything between RRE (Scot Grey) and Reese and Alan, but you have to take what every shop says with a grain of salt. My first tune with Scot, had me over 12.0 AFR at WOT in 3rd and had mad knock. This was before Alan even touched anything, just logged the first run. Boost leak test was performed before Scot's tune and Alan's tune, with no other chages made. I've also had bad idle issues after Scot touched the BISS screw which is a big no no. Know this was back when RRE did not have a dyno, and you had to road tune and Scot never used a WB, which explains the high AFR.
Do you plan on staying with the MBC or go back to ECU boost control?
In the end, how do's she feel?

The car feels better than ever. Driveability is perfect (like stock) and the power is pretty insane for a stock turbo (probably one of the highest, if not the highest, in SoCal).

Our GM solenoid is still "partially" connected and I will leave it that way until I get some more definitive answers.
I sent a PM to David Buschur explaining to him that I am on my third boost controller and am tired of wasting money on something as stupid as a boost controller (don't get me wrong, a boost controller is very important!). He actually took the time to respond to my PM (I figured he'd simply delete it) and stated the following:
"I wouldn't use any of those[Hallman or Dejon Tools], we didn't build them. haha
I use/recommend manual controllers. We have what I think is the best one on the market but I am sure one of the ones you have will work too.
David"
With that said, I feel pretty comfortable with the decision to go back to a MBC. I take Mr. Evo's word as gospel.

MBC are more then fine, as long as you don't touch them or clean them and have to reset them to the original setting. If your already logging, then this shouldn't be an issue.
haha im kiddin
