AZ Evos, SIR tonite, street class, we need you

Here in Tucson everyone wonders what does it take to break the 12.3 sec record.

Would it be a GT35R?
Would it be a RX6 "isamu" plus methanol putting down 448whp on a Mustang Dyno?
Would it be a GT37R?( This one had some mechanical difficulties)
Would it be NOS and bolt ons?
Would it be all possible with all the bolt on mods plus agressive tunning on alcohol/water?

All the setups listed above haven't done it. Everyone tried with all different configurations and we really want to know what really does it take, apparently no one seems to break that record and that is why I am asking to please come to Tucson and show us how fast your car is.

The majority of Evos with (3TB,CAI,MBCand other mods still run 13's here). I haven't seen any Evo 9 in the 12's except my own. The last Evo 9(blue) with 315WHP Mustang Dyno ran a best of 13.3.

Breking into the 13's with a 05 Evo 8 is a total sucess. A TB,CAI and MBC might get you into a mid 13's with excellent driving.

I want you to feel first hand what is to race here, last night it was 99 degrees at midnight. I am truly tired of seen the same thing over and over that includes my cars. That is why I want other AZ Evos to try our track, I already tried other tracks.

I go to Firebird all the time, can you guys from Phoenix and Sierra Vista come over and show us how is done? So far I only hear histories from people, I killled a Z06 blah blah blah... Please bring your fast cars here and have fun.

I would be very satisfied if you just show up and watch the races.

July 22nd

Test and Tune - Sports Compact and Street Legals

Gates at 8 PM

Racing from 9 pm to 2 am

$20 to race

Archy from IAperformance was racing 2 weeks ago, he has a GSX 2gen and could run a 12.0 flat once with full race gas and 450whp plus(mustang Dyno). His other passes were between 12.1 and 12.4.

What trap speed? Times arent a good thing to measure by cause the person could suck at driving, launch ****ty, etc. MPH is a good indicator of what the car SHOULD run with a good driver and launch.

Awww sucks, my car is down for the weekend for some goodies.
If you guys do this when it starts getting colder outside, I'd definitley be down for a visit. How close is the track from Davis M. AFB? I'd hook myself up on lodging there...

Anywho; post directions to the track for future reference.

Leo,

What a pity, your company is always pleaseant. We just finished the installation of the LICP on Evo9grl and I will be downthere trying to improve her previous 12.6 times.

As you know it is hot as hell today(107). Leo, maybe next time. Thanks for replying anyway.

Ray,

I am glad that you will make it but I am sad that you aren't racing your street 459 whp Evo monster.

What is the word on Pj's 481whp(AWD mustang untune) Evo? I know he got his GT37R turbo fixed but is it back on the road?, I am going to call him.

Anyway, I will be there 200% for sure, please bring your wife so that Socorro has someone to talk to. I will be there at 8pm

Thanks!!

Carlos

Which pipe did you (or she) decide to go with? I had to have the Injen LICP extended/welded to make it fit properly w/o it blowing off every 25 miles. You should Soccorro up for the HPDE courses...I just started DE2 and it's a blast. Next one in at Firebird on Aug 12.
