Fix Ticket Is A Pain In The A$$

Yesterday, I was pulled over by a white popo. He told me that the reason why he pulled me over is because my exhaust muffler was loud. So I got a fix ticket, kinda stupid by the way, for exhaust being loud. Today, I took the fix ticket to the Police station and the officer said that he can't determine if the muffler is still loud. I told the officer that I did put a silencer on the muffler to minimize the noise level and he still wouldn't sign it. He told me to bring the fix ticket to the CHP police station to have it sign off. Can't anyone tell me the procedure the popo gonna use to check the noise level of my exhaust with the silencer on. In fact, I have a greddy titanium exhaust with the silencer on it. I was wondering if my evo 9 mr will pass the noise test and get signed off for the fix ticket??Any help guys??

even with the silencer, the greddy ti is insanely loud. also if I'm not mistaken they did away with the DB testers in Cali, if they think it's too loud, then it's too loud. So I don't think you're gonna get away with that.

^ Agreed.

Glad i live in sc where there is no emissons or any of these exhaust noise tickets. But the rednecks with the straight header trucks do get so annoying.

LeeSpeed, Did the Popo use any type of device to measure db levels of the muffler when you bring it to CHP station?? Or they just take a look and listen to the sound to decide??
