Saw a yellow EVO today at the Berryessa/Lundy stop light. You were on a lane going straight on Berryessa through Lundy. I was the passenger in a beige Isuzu Trooper making a left turn from Lundy to Berryessa towards 680. Is this anyone on here? That's the 3rd EVO (including me) that I know of in the San Jose area.

 

this could be a new hobby, evo sighting.

I'm not the yellow Evo you saw, but I believe I may have seen your silver Evo on a couple of occasions. I live in the Berryessa-Brokaw area and have seen a silver Evo driving around in the early evenings, around Brokaw and Old Oakland. Might that be you? (I drive a silver S2000)

I, too, once saw a yellow Evo in the area, so perhaps there's another one in the neighborhood.

Hey Cyber, it may have been me (I live off Brokaw and Lundy) or a friend of mine (lives off Hostetter and Flickinger) who also drives a silver EVO.

Anyway, just this evening, I passed another Silver EVO with tinted windows going the opposite direction on Berryessa! And an hour later, going the other way on Berryessa, I saw the same yellow EVO that I mentioned a few days ago! He drove up next to me and we gave each other the "peace" sign and went our separate ways. Nice to finally see other cool people that I don't already know, driving the EVO! Now if only we can get together for a meet or something...

 

Hey guys i also drive a silver Evo, but i only went down to San Jose once, like a month ago.. i've seen a white evo in that area also.. I've been wanting to have some kind of a meet, (well sorta had one with another Evo at a wrx meet). Me and the other silvr Evo was thinking about going down to san jose (sometime btwn june 9-12) to get racing gas and maybe take a drive on 17 santa cruz high way. Be great if we could all meet up. Maybe around evening or nighttime if you all have work, any ideas pm me, i might start a thread here about the meet, thanks

Well, if you Evo owners in the Bay Area are free and just wanna hang out on the 7th of june.. saturday... there is a dyno meet at ATP in Fremont. We have already 15 cars ranging from different car manufacturere dynoing including my Tarmac Evo and a friend of mine that owns a Yellow Evo (user name is Option2) as well. Tricked out WRX, GSX and other turbo hondas are thrown in the mix.

You guys are more than welcome to come and stop by to say hi to other Evo owners that will be there. Dyno starts at 9am till whenever and hope to see other Evo owners out there representing.

 

Hey ink124, it definitely could've been either you or your friend then. I live pretty darn close to Flickinger Park, so I think I'm right around where your friend is. I haven't sighted all that many Evos myself (the silver one on Old Oakland was the first one I saw on the street), but since I don't personally own the car, I probably don't "tune in" to them as much.

I did stop by the Mitsubishi dealer this weekend just to take a look at the Evo, and you guys have a great car. I'm sure it's wishful thinking on my part, but hopefully they'll eventually allow test drives so I can check it out for myself.

Anyway, if you happen to see an Asian guy with shaved hair and glasses in a silver S2000 (I know, I know, lots of us look like that ) around the neighborhood, be sure to say what's up! See ya around...

 

Hey I'd be up to meet up with some of you folks. I don't drive an Evo, but a car enthusiast is a car enthusiast, right? I work during regular business hours, as I'm sure a lot of other folks do as well, so I think evening is a good idea. But if you guys decide to drive the 17 during daytime, that would be doable as well - I work off the 17 (just a few miles north of Santa Cruz), so slipping out of the office for a few minutes for a short run wouldn't hurt. Keep us posted...

 

You know, i've yet to see one in the street in San Jose. My friend has seen a red one a few times around the Great Mall area. But as for myself, I drive from Tully area to De Anza everyday and have yet to see one.

Once in a while on friday and saturday nights, my friend and I hang out over there at In-and-Out at Capitol Expressway and Tully. Look for us there... We each have silver EVOs.
