Mitsubishi Westcoast Gathering!!!
Wow... I'm getting massive emails and response from people from all over, in regards to this event.
Keep em coming and don't forget to register on the forums. We get way to many guests dropping in on these boards. We need your to support. It makes it alot easier for potential sponsors and tuners to make a decision on participation and attendance.
And speaking on Tuners and potential sponsors.
We now have Mitsubishi & Saturn Recycling on board to participate in the WCG. They bring years of Mitsubishi experience and knowlege to the table, as well as a good supply of OEM and JDM Mitsu parts. They are looking into setting up a vendor booth as well as bringing out both there twin Mitsubishi EVO 7's.
Also, we anticipate participation from the Super Tuners at GTpro. They bring tons of knowlege on the 3000GT/Stealth platform as well as Nissan performance vehicles. They would'nt state exactly what they have planned to show, only that they will have a few suprises for everyone. They will be arriving in Norcal for the MWCG after they return from the 3/S National Gathering in St. Louis.
And last but not least are the Innovators at RRE and Road Race Motorsports. Who have some serious vehicles in preparation for a good showing. As some of you can imagine, they have some serious heat and unexpected suprises in store for us all. I don't want to say but we will all be blown away. RRE and RRM bring to the table years of Mitsu Experience, in both rally racing and road racing, as well as innovation in performance parts and components.
Please show your support by visiting these vendors and thanking them for there participation in our event.

I am kind of hoping that Cal Slam and WCG can be the same weekend, so Richard and Stew look into how feasible it is to switch to the other event's date and contact each other. Otherwise, I will try my best to make it a week long vacation and stay up there for WCG as well. BTW, is Sacramento Raceway just a drag strip? Or do they have a road course and/or parking lot large enough for autocross. If so, we could make this thing something like Dub Wars (annual VW gathering in So Cali). Let me know if you're interested in expanding it in such a way and I'll give you more details. No offense to drag racers, but my naturally aspirated Lancer isn't exactly a straight-line vehicle.
Unfortunately it's not possible...
I had been planning this event for a little over a year and I can't really back out of my obligations to my partners and sponsors. The time has already been taken off for folks to attend this event as well. (From all over the westcoast...

The now tentative date for this years Mitsubishi Westcoast Gathering is now set for August 8-10. The CMI portion of the event will consist of vehicle Test & Tune, Car show, and Drag Race. This is a great opportunity for us all to recieve national coverage through all the Magazines as well as help put Mitsu performance vehicles squarely on the map.
If the date is tentative, why not plan inline with CAL SLAM STAGE III?
Our success can be your success. Besides, we got nuthin' planned for Sat. night and Sunday, Aug. 3rd.
BTW, here's something to think about. Harry Potter Haiku:
I hope you're pleased with
yourselves. We could all have been
killed—or worse, expelled.

More here...
Is anyone here attending the CMI summer nationals at sacramento raceway tomorrow (june 22)? I'll be there with my lancer to see what I can run, I hope to see some other lancers there as well as some evo's...so who knows about this?
Stew, I believe his date is set by his agreements with the race track and the event sponsors. It would have been more likely for us to move Cal Slam to that date, but maybe you have obligations I don't know about, either.
Let me set this right the 2 events can not be on the same weekend do to the fact that the WCG is a full 2 day event that is being promoted by CMI. and CALSLAM III is also a full day event there for there is no posible way to have bouth on the same day. I do hope every one can attend bouth and also hope that Club Diamond and Team Slam can work out a event together in the future. as for me I am unable to attend calslam because my daughter is getting baptised in san jose that weekend.
Getting down to crunch time folks...

Yeah.. It's going to be pretty exciting.
Were trying to arrange to have several camera's available shooting for the entire event. the goal is to put together either a DVD or VCD of the event.
