Possibly the worst Day
Possibly the worst Day
Well I made it to Las Vegas about a week or so ago and I had my cars shipped from seattle as the company I work for paid to relocate me. Long store short I was to get my car today
. So I get a call and am told that my cars will be delievered to me between 11am and 1pm.
Roughly 1:10pm the guy shows up with a flat bed and my wifes 2006 Jetta GLI. Sweet!!! the guy unloads it and not a scrach on it. They even washed and what looks like waxed the car. The guy tells me after recieving my wifes car. "There is a problem with your car" I say "Oh like what?" he then goes on to stay "We don't know but I'm going to find out when I get back and give you a call". Needless to say I never got a call. SOOOooOOOoOOO I placed one in to my relocation company and they say they will contact the towing company and find out.

.............. 3 Hours Later almost.........
"Yes I just got off the phone with the company" she explains to me "They didn't load your car on to a flat bed and now it will not move"....... *Long *** pause on the phone* I then reply with "Excuse me?" She repeates it, i then try to be nice to her as I know it is not her fault "It is an AWD I requested to make sure it was on a flat bed, WTF do they mean the car will not move?!"
I then become frantic and already have my claim process started. I call around to a local (Peoples Mitsu) in North Vegas and explain to the service manager the issue and he says that i need to have all three diffrentials replaced for it and it would be about $13,500 and I could not just replace the rear diff. I say to him "I don't want the rear diff only I want a new car or drive train" he then states "Arn't you the one that called me at noon?" I tell him "no I just found out my car is like this..... the company.....and im trying to get an estimate for my insruance..... so i can see if they would consider it totaled..." He then starts to explain to me that the company called his service department trying to do the half assed thing and just replace the center diff even though they told them they need all three.
Further more now they are telling me that if the company pays to have it fixed (Unless they total it and give me the $45,000 that I insured the car for) that it would void my warantee and they wouldn't gaurantee any thing beyond the parts they fix. then they go on to tell me how my engine could have done a few rotations and that could be damanged as well.
I'm telling you I hope they total it so I can get one with no issues. But damn its a real sad day guys :-(

wow, that is a bad day that sucks man, well for the future I think they sell some AWD stickers at lancershop.com? that you could put above the VIN clearly stating that you need to tow it on a flatbed. Good luck
The only funny part about this is they try to tow my EVO the rally looking car on a 2 wheel drive crap and the jetta on a flat bed. I'm telling you if your in the business of towing you should know this ****.
