Meet in Malibu area 7/19
Rich and Jeff - if we'd had video of that run up the canyon, it would have looked like something from Gran Turismo...
I don't know if anyone of you saw (I think they're from Rich) the 4-wheel drift tire marks on a couple of the corners. I say they came from Rich because of the tire screech he was getting. My adrenaline was pumping after that. Too bad you weren't around then, Trae...

sorry for riding your *** like that, rich - I wasn't trying to push you or anything, I was just checking out your lines. I'll be following you at Willow to see what lines you take there too! Just not so closely, hehe... Dammit, I can't wait!!!

... Jeff was up my *** on the way back, I felt bad because I wasn't into pushing the car that much on the way down, and I deffinately was coasting the corners, and I felt like I was holding him up a bit hehehe sorry Jeff, I'll try not to hold you up at Willow, but I highly doubt that there will be a problem there *wink wink* Well, there were at least three guys who had an absolute BLAST at the meet...thanks SCLC!!!

No worries Jeff, I hope you were'nt watching my lines too closely as I was embarrassed by them hehehe. Yeah, my lines were much better this morning, and I gaurantee they will be better at Willow!!!! Bring on the madness.
If you guys want to know some good canyons to run, let me know and I will give you street names and directions. Those are my "proving grounds" for when I put mods on... starting with my Camaro, then the Trans Am, and now the Lancer. Piuma is one of my favorites, mainly because the turns are just the right speed and the straights aren't too long, and there is that beautiful view at the top (about half mile further from where we stopped). Anyway, I hope you have fun. Maybe I'll join you some time and make a feeble attempt at getting a Lancer to keep up with Evos.
Someone in a yellow OZ pulled up behind me on the way down and wanted to see me go (and slide)... about 1/4 mile into it they were gone. If you could keep up, I would have to bow down...
Well, I was passing quite a few VW GTIs at Buttonwillow, but the Evo is quite a few steps above that. But it would sure be fun trying!!! I'd be sure to have my Azenis tires on. Just make sure I start in the back, 'cause that's where I'll be the whole time.
Richard, I especially liked pic #2. If you could email it to me or Vince (I'll send you a PM), I'd like to crop it a little and submit that one to Vivid racing for our club pic.
