i'm going to be buying an EVO soon. and was seeing if you guys can recommend me a place to buy it.i'm willing to go down to Salinas for a better deal. plain and simple where's the best deal.thanks alot, David
Whatever you do, do not buy from Capitol Mitsu or Stevens Creek Mitsu in San Jose.
I've heard though from a guy I met at a car wash that his friend bought his Evo from Stevens Creek Mitsu below MSRP. Not sure if he was telling the truth, though.
I've also heard that Hayward Mitsu is supposed to have sold Evo's below MSRP.
Capitol Mitsu are basically crooks. I bought my Evo there and regret having to deal with people like them. I've even complained to the BBB about their attempts at the classic bait and switch techniques they tried out on me.
Anyhow, not sure how much I helped.

What do you mean they tried to bait and switch you? I was down there not too long ago, and they seemed nice. I even have a deal worked out for under sticker, as soon as I sell my car.

When I talked to them on the phone, they told me one price. When I got there, the price was 6000$ more than what they quoted me on the phone.
Then, they tried to move me onto a more expensive Evo.
That is a classic bait and switch.
They tell you what you want to hear to get you in there, then change things around once you are actually there.
Yo, if it's just a matter of who'll give you the best bang for your buck, I'd wait a bit, then.
