ive had that grinding problem in third gear first time i got my evo and while i was adjustin to the driving,i noticed its better to just shift it forward lightly and you dont have to actually point it to the middle to shift it in 3rd since when in neutral its pointed towards 3rd.just shift smoothly and i think this also goes the same with people grinding in 5th gear.its just how you work the clutch and shifting.

Mitsu clutch is garbage. Wondering if ACT makes an Evo clutch and clutch plate?

Aftermarket is definately the way to go, especially hydraulic.
