alignment shops recommandations

My coilovers are going to arrive this week. I planed on having the car coner weighted and get a custom alignment spec. Do you guys know any good shops in the sf bay area?

Thanks!

Custom Alignment in Mountain View $250-350

C2 Automotive in Oakland $200-300.

i forgot their numbers but 411 directory assistance should have it.

I went to C2 since that was closer to me. They performed full car corner weighing and balancing on my 2000 RS/WRX hybrid for about $220. This is w/ TEIN type HA w/ pillowmounts

hope this helps!

pnubutterwolf, just got back from c2 they did a good job, but they rushed the job at the end, probably because it's was almost 7pm. When adjusting the front camber plates, they just used a couple of screw drivers to move the camber plates, that makes a big dent on the the camber plate, I spoke to Jason about the damage, but I don't think they're going to do anything about it.

Thx for the recomandation. The cross weight is dead even now and the handling is great. I think if my appointment was a bit earlier, they would not have rushed the job.

Glad you like the way car handles now.. but i am sorry that they dented your camber plate.. I hope they gave you some discount on the alignment for their mistake.
btw, which coilover suspension kit did you get? I just put on the HKS hipermax on mine!

Oh, and since you live in fremont, I am just wondering if you could bring your evo over to Union City krispy kreme on Tuesday nights? I would like to check out your setup and maybe exchange infos.. I am usually there hanging out w/ guys from Bay Area I-Club. look for an apex silver EVO w/ gruppe-s sticker

later!

Looks like exactly what my shop did to mine, it's hard to move. From the pic I have the same coil-overs and 2 position sharpie marks On the evo it toes in with more neg camber- opposite of most cars.

puntbutterwolf, the camber plate is mostly cosmetic... should not affect the handling at all, so i was not too upset over it... i think dropping those extra seconds off the next track event will make me forget everything btw, i have the jics with 45mm pistons up front(inverted shocks) 40mm on the rear(not inverted) running the stock spring rates at 10k front and 9k rears, currently I have the fronts set to 5clicks and the rear set to 3clicks from full soft. My alignment is 0 toe front and rear with all 4 at 1 degree neg camber (tire saving setup )

I have also another setup for 1.5 neg camber up front but if I use that setting, I will get some toe in the front. I will have to see what happens at the next track meet. So what time do you guys meet at kk in union city on Tue nights? I love to meet up with you guys and share some tuning experience.

ssrx7r2, those camber plates are surely tight, but you can just push the tire in with the car lifted, of course it will be more work since you will have to jack up the car make adj and lower to verify and do it over again unit you get it right. I have a way to measure camber fairly accurate with some strings, a level and a ruler. That's how I initially set up the fronts (-1 deg neg camber) when I installed the coilovers, and they were exactly at -1 deg when measured on c2's alignment rack. btw, thanks for info on the toe changes with the change of camber. It was exactly what I see when I was playing with the camber plate after the coilover install.
