It's not that bad. Im gonna go back and see them again in a couple days for financing. If things don't go my way then I dont want it. I'm really pursuing the Evo X.
Too late FA77EN, a sales rep there already set up my '04 RR RS to be traded in and I'll be signing papers and taking home that IX GG MR tomorrow............JUST KIDDING!! Just wanted to say good luck and hopefully you get into ANY EVO soon!
Just wondering guys, BBQ this Saturday same time and place?

Oh I should share my experience with shipping my car from SoCal to Hawaii. About $1000 to ship here unless they increased the price and about 3 weeks to ship here. Somewhere along that but its not more than a month of waiting. Its not so bad. Buy your car and drive it around for a bit. Then drive your car to the harbor and fly home and wait. Hopefully you have fam in the Mainland to keep you company. I would pay extra attention to the car before you buy it cause they do some crazy mods and tuning in the Mainland. There are some cars there that you should just stay away from.
I dont think I can come out for a while now cause I just got another recon ticket for my "lowered suspension, exhaust and rims." WTF.............. I got the registration stopper this time too which is super lame cause my registration renewal is this month too.

Also, sucks about the recon ticket. The exhaust is one you can't get out of now because they updated the safety/recon laws back in september and now they have intakes and exhausts on the list for needing recon.

I think the BBQ is gonna be same place and time.
Last week turned out pretty awesome.
I can't take good pictures, so if I make them funny looking it'd still be ok lol
Also, everyone should chime in about bbq on saturday to see if schedules for everyone are open. No sense having it if only like 4 or so people can make it. I would say post in here by thursday for a small head count and then mass text can happen friday.
I am able to make it.

Well I'm down for either a BBQ or just even a coffee meet up. Let me know time an place plz. I don't know If I will take my Evo. If I receive my clutch tomorrow than I will drop it off Thursday and get it back by Friday. So I praying I get it tomorrow.
I'm no expert on how to ship cars to the islands, so that may just my ignorance on the matter. Even so, convenience also plays a small factor (or big one, varying from person to person) in how you want to spend your money. Is saving $6000 worth waiting weeks to buy a car, ship it down, and register it? Is saving $1000 worth it? It comes down to a matter of how much work one is willing to do for the price they can accept spending. I think that for me personally I'd rather buy locally (after haggling to an acceptable price) rather than have to go through much more work for a cheaper price that I may not even know of [how much money I'd be saving].
Don't think this goes off topic, as we only really have this thread to communicate. If it were a specific thread within a forum then it'd be a different matter.

This is way I won't even try to buy a Evo here. Just saw this on CL:
2011 Mitsubishi Lancer 4dr Sedan Manual Evolution GSR AWD - $38,995
3,780 Miles
MSRP is 34K for a new Evo, they want 38K for a used one????
