ECU reflash
Anyone in Hawaii took their evo X in for a ecu reflash? Been reading the other threads in the forum and have the same symptoms (rough idle with a/c on, revs don't drop smoothly like they should, CEL comes on in a hard 4th gear pull past 5,000). Was wondering if anyone had other ideas as what my problem could be or if they had problems taking in their evo for the reflash with mods on the car. Mods are AMS intake, HKS SSQV, AMS upper ic pipe, Halman mbc, Vibrant cat back exhaust. Thanks in advance for the help!

That's another thing I read about. The Cobb access port. Someone mentioned that it would solve the problem. If anyone knows the access port really does "solve" my problem then I'll just pick that up instead of hassling with the dealership. Thanks!

1. Wait for AMS to head back out to the island
2. Buy yourself an Openport 2.0 cable, EvoScan, d/l ECUFlash, have Mellon tune it (www.mellontuning.com - tell him I sent you)
3. Buy yourself an Openport 2.0 cable, EvoScan, d/l ECUFlash, learn to tune yourself
If you're talking about the factory reflash then yeah you can bring it in and they'll do it. Just a couple months ago I brought it in for the fuel line recall and they did it with my mods with no hassle. Although, I did notice that after I got the factory reflash done my idle was still jerky, but after Chris (AMS) was done tuning everything was all g. I'de say just wait till he comes back out.

So the Cobb AP is a "no go" then. I'm assuming I can wait for Chris to head back out here. What exactly would I need to have before Chris comes back? Anything special that my X needs. Certain things fixed and what not? Just don't wanna run into any extra problems when he's here. Since hiperviper did his if anything happens in the mean time I'll try the factory reflash. Still gonna get it tuned by Chris or maybe Mellon. Thanks for the 411 bboy and hiper!

Hey guys, have a favor/question to ask. I got all my engine stuff in. I mean, everything. Every pully, gasket, flip flop you can ask for. Problem is that ed and i were gonna install it all.
