I would try to stay away from streamline as they sem to be giving AJ the round about. Not sure at what time Kai fell off but he used to be alright. Anyways self tuning is a option, there is the 14-15 part video on YouTube that can pretty much teach you everything but it will take a quite of bit of time. If you want a quick solution get a remote tune from one of the reputable tuners like tscomp. I think his price is around 200-250 depending on what you want. I only say his name because I've dealt with him. He knows his stuff and will having you running right in no time.

Also I've tried tuning the self tuning thing and just found it easier to pay someone who knows what they are doing. Less of a headache and won't have to worry nearly as much. I can turn wrenches but tuning...no so sure haha.

 

If you have that big of injectors you need to stop the car. While the. At is not tuned you might be flooding your cylinder walls wih fuel. Not leaving any protection on the cylinder walls. This can be catastrophic. I would be really carefully or put stock injectors back on till you can figure out what to do with the tune.

 

Or you could just call the shop in kc that did the dual tune to begin with... but I told you this last week

 

FA77EN, my suggestion to you is to...... get some smaller size inj.... even stockers if you can't find any.. w/ a Evo 9 frame turbo 1000cc be ok. I can do your tune, I have numerous pre-built maps for an evo 8 similar to your mods...we can use this as your baseline and i can tune it for zero knocks since your wideband 02 is pretty old and I wouldn't trust it going by AFRs.... this would take numerous logs/3rd/4th gear runs.... min 2 hrs (properly cool your car etc.) unless you want to rent a dyno.

I been so busy lately but next week we can meet somewhere and I can download your tune and see if you have dual maps, I trully think you are on Tephra due to the flashing CELs and the extra switch....

It is easy to read up on "how to tune" but the time and effort a tuner put in on a set up that is foreign to him/her is not an easy task. If you plan on changing your inj, you would have to scale the inj which takes time to log again then re-tune your car.... pm me your number and I'll see if i can help you sometime next week. I'm going into Streamline today @ 4PM. I got Kai to promise me to get the tune done TODAY even if he has to go into overtime. Promises are made, words better be kept. It'll be the deal or no deal. But like Coby said, he used to be alright. He is alright but it's just the excuses that need to be toned down and more honesty put out. He wasn't lying about the definition XML file though, he was just making excuses to delay until he either coded one or had someone give it to him. Someone gave it to him this weekend from another shop on mainland.

If he screws up this time; i'm posting on Yelp a review that's made to last and make sure I get the word out to everyone by other means -_-.

Kai also told said he would like to sponsor us since I did tell him about the scene recently and how organized we're coming to be thanks to everyone supporting and showing up. So he wants to sponsor with discounts/specials etc... But it's not my decision it's everyone's. Gotta have Fa77en to come down with me someday and talk to Kai about this one....

 

Discounts are good. Let us know how the tune goes. From what i hear in my group of friend hes not bad as a tuner from the island. Unless you can wait till ams comes down and pay the money. I like having someone to go back to if i have issues though.

 

There is already Simeon selling stock injectors on evohawaii.net/classifieds.
If I can install them before the tune then we can get crackin on it. I just need the Evo to be more daily driver friendly.

 

I'm the one with those stock injectors. Let me know if you want them. They were good when I pulled them, just going to e85 soon.

 

Yeah man 2k injectors is way to big. even for a 900HP application i dont see an evo needing anything bigger then a 1200-1500 injector.

 

The 2k injectors are for e85... You two should just trade

 

ok, let me say upfront, I'm not trying to throw stones in a glass house.. But, if you guys want to get a group sponsorship going.... Why not go with leaf? Here is my reasoning... They are the only ams dealer on island.... They have worked in some form or fashion on a few cars on here... And lastly, I promise they will beat Kai's deal and guarantee their work... Only thing you "gain" with Kai is he is a "tuner" <very loosely using that word there

 

At this point why can't we just have them both haha. They did both offer lol.
