Is there any shops over here that know how to work on a Evo???

I am getting a clicking sound from the right side of the engine when the car is warm up. When I was replacing my downpipe this weekend I looked everywhere and thighten everything that I could see, but noise is still there.

Took it to Cutter Mits. and they tried telling me having a hi-flow exhaust will cause less back pressure causing a clicking noise or a exhaust leak. . So happens everything that I replaced wasn't even near the area the noise is coming from at the time. . All I could say to the service tech is WOW and took my car.

I am not getting any engine light and the car is pulling hard with no problems, but I will just like to find out what is causing the noise and fix it before something happens.

Here is a link to a video I made a while back with the noise.

Thanks for the help in advance.

more than likely are are experiencing is commonly known as lifter tick. i cant see the video, but it is very common... if it sounds like it is coming from behind your valve cover where your intake manifold is, that is your issue. There is 2 fixes: take your head off and re-bleed your lifters, or you can purchase the JAM lifters. They promise no ticking.

You are right about the area , but my headers are behind the engine not the intake(think you are talking about the 8 and 9). The lifter tick that you are talking about will I be able to hear it when the engine is cold? The ticking that I am getting isn't constant. I will tried again to load that video for you on streetfire. Hopefully you could help me on this.

On the side note: Do you have a RR MR?

Anyone got dates as to when Chris from AMS will be here? My X needs a tune really bad. Anyone got a X with a MBC installed. If so where are the 2 vaccum hoses coming from the stock electronic solenoids hooked up to? Thanks in advance!

Cause if you didnt change cams and with that low of mileage I would take it in for warranty if its the lifters. Double check the exhaust manifold gasket to downpipe if its sitting flush and still good.
