Just saying hi and I hope everyone voted today! And enjoyed their holiday and stuffs. And I hope everyone is doing good and enjoying whatever you guys have been up to lately. Nice to pop in when theres time. This forum is pretty lively now.
yeah that was me. I've seen your evo around, but don't think we've met. I live up on NCTAMS. I wave (when I can) to all the evos that I see. However, I don't see as many wave backs as I use to. Maybe the market is flooded with too many non-appreciated (mommy/daddy bought my evo) evo owners
howzit everybody..damn haven't posted a comment in a minute. so whens the next meet?
i agree, i shaka/wave to most if not all evos i see around but less than a handfull actually acknowledge back.

when evos first came available we would flash and wave to each other....turn around and catch up to complete strangers just to introduce ourselves. Now people have no idea what their cars are capable of, bought it second hand just to have an evo. No appreciation.
I am proud to be the only owner of my evo...don't know what is going to happen to it if I ever have to get rid of it, but even then, every evo will always get my second look.

Congratulations on Being the first owner of your Evo.
Unfortunately not everyone has the luxury or the cash to buy a new Evo. For instance, myself. I've been an Evo enthusiast as long as I could remember but was never financially stable enough to afford a $30k car. Eventually I was able to purchase a used one with minimal mechanical faults. Even though it was used and abuse, I still love my car as if I was the original owner who drove it off the lot for the first time. From what I know, MOST of the Evo owners on this island are the first/original. Of coarse there are a couple people who's Evo's were purchased for them or was a gift. Regardless of how the car is in their possession they are still part of the Evo family. (Except for some of the douche bags)
FYI: I care more for my Evo then a lot of people care for their own children.

Also, I'm sure most people who purchase a second hand Evos appreciate them just much, if not more than the original owner. If you were the original owner and you had appreciated your car so much then why would you sell it?
I think the the second owner displays more gratitude and passion for the machine they just bought knowing there could be major problems with the car, but still disregard the warning and purchase. You can't judge someone's appreciation, dedication and passion towards their car just because they're not the original owner. That's like saying you can't love a child like your own if they were adopted.

We've probably played a few games together. I play up there sometimes. Now that I'm back to work and not in standdown, I don't get that chance. However, I've been told that there are guys that play at 1930 so I may start playing at that time since its easier to make it after work.

As for me I am the first and last owner of my car. It was a anniversary gift from the wife cuz she hated mu tiburon I had. She kept on hitting her head while sitting in the back, plus the evo had more room for our first son. Through all the years Ive had it it always gives me some type of problems, but hey I love her. My son wont even let me sell if If I had the chance, he want it when he grows up. Now he is telling my to paint it, maybe someday I will.

my son loves my car. any chance he gets he wants to ride in it. Its funny because he doesn't want to sit in his car seat (he's 3), he wants to sit in the front or drive. I'm looking at teaching my daughter how to drive. If she can learn on my car, she can drive just about anything.
I'm with all you guys, I love my car as well for one reason or another. Granted it hasn't received as much love in the past few years since most of my spending money goes into the family, but I try to keep it happy.
