I've been concerned about getting mine done because I've heard that its so hard to get the appointment. How many of you have your cars reconed. pm me is fine.
i'd be just starting out the tuning with mellon, so i have to do a cruise log of about 25 mins. in his email he said in 5th and preferably flat...where can we drive for 25 mins on a flat road, lol. when I need to start doing wot pulls, i'd def check out tuning road.

what do they normally look for when they pull you over for recon. I've seen cars slammed with alot of negative camber and I dont see any recon stickers on their cars.

Or you can try Nimitz. but not quite a 25 min pass.
*Rebuild Update* Heads off, New pistons Installed (ACL all around), partial wire tuck in progress.
I figured H1 was going to be my best bet, but not sure which side would be better tuning. About 20 evos...when is this happening. I want to come, I'll bring my wife's minivan to carry drinks and food, lol.
*Rebuild Update* Wire Tuck in progress. Fuse Box relocated (Check), most wires hidden(Check)
Waiting on new Rod Bearings (Delivered tomorrow)

Francis good to see you've found your way back to the thread!
For MAF scaling the best thing to do is hit the H1 from pearl city out to waianae. You can use the north shore too but it isnt good because you run the risk of stopping. As for recon, driving like an idiot is the way to start that ticket. then the cops get retarded. You should find the recon book and see where your car falls as far as violations. A good one they try to get people on is loud exhaust. Exhaust doesn't make your car require recon. There is a bunch of rules and such. Too many to just write in here lol.
Slow.

yha ive been busy here at work we are still out here at sea. Just cant wait to go to hawaii.
oh yha i also got a little build before my car gets to hawaii. Im getting the BBK-B.
Question what kind of fuel does hawaii have? trying to get information for my tuner so he know what to tune for. I heard there is 100 octane over there but is that the only one that hawaii has to offer? thanks

we have the lowest of the low 92 Oct. there is only 1 place on island with 100. ($10) per gallon, and its all the way down town. So if you live in Kbay/waikele/ewa beach, its prob not worth the drive for it. Be out of a quarter tank or more before you get back.
