Anyone know when Chris from AMS is going to be on the island? I know its going to be some time in November. And where is he going? Is he taking requests for tunes yet?

 

sometime around the 18th i think and i think he is all booked. He has been taking requests for over a month now. Dyno tuning will be at Rad Motorsports. Can try to email him.

As most of you know I have been doing a lot of research and asking about a turbo for my car and stuff. I guess I have a little more time to look and decide since I have this in my garage now, lol

Shoot let me ride it, ill race ya. cant wait until i get my R1 again. What my old bike looked like before i sold it. Was the best R1 they have come out with yet. Except for the added power of the new ones.

Yeah, i have to take my rods into a machine shop to have them honed(bottom end enlarged) the oil clearance was to tight. Rotation was way to tight.
I going try to get them to the shop by wed. If they knock them out in a day like they did my head, it will be on the road by the weekend.
But im also packing all my stuff up to get ready to leave. so rebuild has slowed abit.
But besides that, everything looks good. and went back together with no problem

Oh and the clutch was Exedy, but its shot lol (Thanks to SuperK) ACT 6Puck Sprung disk going in.

 

Anyone care to describe the symptoms of a dead or dying turbo. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

I'm no expert, but I would say:
No boost or boost problems
Car will feel weak,
Noise from turbo,
Might have a bad smell or smoke coming out the exhaust if the turbo is burning oil or leaking oil,

That's all that I could think of, but the experts on here will tell you more.

Do you think you turbo is going out? If so why?
