Anyone have a good deal for me for ARP Head Studs.? 500whp is selling me the EXEDY twin for 1325 shipped.. . unless someone knows of a better deal.? Also, whats the benefits of having CAM Gears?

from what i read about cam gears is they allow u to basically place ur power where u want it. i also guess they can effect timing as well. for the most part they help manage how calm ur cams can be or how aggressive they can be.

sh*t i would say do a search but that normally dont help. most of the time u get pointless threads. just make a thread asking about the benefits. better yet ill do it for u. cuz i wanna know myself. i want 280s and i know ill need cams for these.

I didnt choose the turbo that is on James's car, that was between him and Justin. His over all plan was for a built head and block in the next few months. He needs those to make this turbo he has work well. He still accomplished a 12.1@117 with 18 psi on this turbo, not 25+ like it takes average EVOs tuned by chumps. This is a 700+ whp turbo that needs more RPMs and compression to work well. Once we build the motor, then an EMS will let us run the car the way it should, 9000+ RPMs, 35 psi, and some practice behind the wheel and it will be deap in the 10s at over 135 mph. Its just a 4G63, I have 10+ years experience with them. As far as respect, all I need is James respect, haters are always gonna be haters, and haters will always be left behind.

Ill be selling my twin plate exedy in a couple/few weeks after the new clutch goes in. It has 5k on it and has never been launched or slipped hard. If youre interested let me know we can maybe work out a price. If you have the hks cams you dont really need cams. The cams come timed properly from the factory and its not worth your time and effort to play with them for that unoticeable gain you may get. You may get a slightly different spool or a few hp/tq, but these gains are usually done on a dyno tuning not street tuning.

Who are these chumps you are talking about? Youre claiming 12.1 at 18 psi is a huge accomplishment, comon! Its a huge turbo that outflows, at 18psi, what smaller turbos running 25+ psi are doing. Simple physics. I know plenty of stock turbos running 11s and low 12s. Ill say this, drag racing isnt the end all of tuning accomplishment. No one is "hating" you , its just a matter of some of these members feel as though you are talking down to them and bragging a little much when nothing amazing has been accomplished. If James' respect is all you need then obviously you dont want the business of the many Evo owners here in vegas. These guys want to see accomplishment and concrete evidence of how competant you are.

Headstuds can be had for like 100 bucks. Try lancershop. That price on the twindisk is cheap as f uck. DO IT. I dont know what the benefits of cam gears are, but I know that Buschur refuses to use them. Take that for what it is.
