Hey Justin, I still haven't gone by my friend's shop to see about the pipes. Maybe when I get dynoed again I'll stop by there.

cool . what day u gonna get dyno'd? im off tuesday and wednesday and i get off eraly on monday. i really wanna see what u put out for numbers. please give me a call the day u go in

so u only got road tuned jesse???? so u didnt get a tune on a 100 map. that would be amazing to see what 272/264, 100 oct, and alky would do for ur car.

I might go down to HPH this week. I'll call you if I do. As far as getting tuned on 100, I can't afford to put 100 in my tank all the time.

cool. please call me i wanna see the power. i understand about the 100. that sh*t aint cheap, but it would have been cool to see ur car tuned on it wit the alky. all well, maybe next time then. im pretty damn sure ur car is making more power now then anyones 100 map.

if he fixes his boost leak / boost taper problem his car will be producing a significant amount of power with the 91 opctane gas and alcohol

100 octane would not add any power over the 91 the way his car is now running

The car is very quick now - but it won't hold boost well.

I would advise loosing the EBC and go with a MBC and do a boost leak test.

Otherwise, the car was running very smooth and it was a very nice looking car indeed.

You see - this is the kind of thinking that will result in mis-perceptions and mis-information

As we discussed - your car was not holding consistant boost and the boost was tapering down way too much

We discussed that you should conisder changing out your EBC which you felt was inconsistant and / or doing a boost leak test.

While your car is running very fast now and will certainly lay a hurting on many other evos out there - the fact remains that the car is not set up properly yet from a mechanical perspective.

Therefore - any dyno numbers you get are rather useless.

I would rather see you garner your limited resources and time to resolving the boost problem first and then go to the dyno after you get everything worked out.

Just my two cents

It is typical backwards thinking which results in poor results and mis-perception to dyno a car which is not holding proper boost

Needless to say his car is already making more whp than most if not all of the cars you guys have tuned with SAFC - however - it is not a significant test to test the car before it is mechanically sound and functioning 100% as normal

I would like to see the car dynoed with a boost controller which is working properly and with all boost leaks fixed.

While a peak whp number may look nice in your signature line - when its part of a narrow thin power peak on the top end with no down low grunt to move you its a less than stellar result on the road

My suggestion to you is go for a ride in Jesse's car and see how it feels in the low end - or better still - do a quick highway pull against him to see which car is faster

Al how did u determine that he had a boost leak? His car made 310 whp on a low reading Dyno at a higher elevation. Cars in his power level are trapping at 112 mph + in Vegas. I am not trying to disrespect u Al, as I think we are well beyond that phase. However, where did this mysterious boost leak come from? FWIW Before your tune Jesse's car already was one of the strongest cars in the Vegas Area with the stockish turbo. I want to see him run down the 1320 and see if he still has one of the higher trapping Evos in the area. We will also see if your torque theory produces better 1320 times and at least equal trapspeeds.
