Both times, that was the only infraction I received. Oh well. Just keeps me under the speed limit

 

NHP does according to my Ex whos mom is an NHP office manager or something like that. Any truth to that? Well not quotas but an expected amount more so

 

That's what I've been told also. It just shows that their working pretty much. But to give a chicken **** ticket for doing 5 over is BS. Alex (Vegasboy) has been profiled before in his beemer. I've personally heard them make comments about his age and the car he drives. The tickets he got were justified but to have a 17 year old kid on the hood of a car and treating them like a criminal is absolutely BS.

I've met very professional officers and likewise on the other end.

 

My only ticket in the evo has been a 56 in a 50. From a bike cop. He told me the safe speed was 55... so at 55 no ticket... he also gave me a hard time about the turbo timer. ticket cost me 270. That was in orange county cali. This guy also looked right at the test pipe that i had on it at the time and said.."looks good"

I personally think he was to fat to be riding a bike!

 

I think the type of car you drive also has a deteriming factor..... Big wing, exhaust, cop MAY think you are some punk kid street racer.

When I got a ticket from NHP going to laughlin with my wife and kids in the car, he assumed I was some punk kid, and threatened to arrest me and tow my car, and leave my family in the middle of no where, granted I was doing 70 in a 55 but everyone was traveling about the same speed.

I'm not going to sit here and say that there are no "A**hole" cops. That would be a bold face lie. And im sure NHP does have a "quota" what if u were at your job and your only job was to cite traffic violators and you pretty much came in with a small amount of paperwork everyday. It would make it look like you arent doing your job very well or that you were doing just enough.

Im not saying that i agree with alex being put on the hood of a car and being treated like a criminal.... but in reality.. thats what he was... a criminal.. a suspect.. whatever... he broke a law... doesnt that make him a criminal at that time....

 

There is always the good, bad, and ugly. Working in the jail for 5 years I met them all.
Even some sweet mama cops that even look good in all that uniform.

 

Yea forget the ticket. It's not really a big deal. I have had worse its just a lil pain but whatevers.

^^ why dont u send it to craig p kelly... or just plead not guilty... thats the number 1 mistake people make is they plead guilty and then have to pay the whole ticket. If you plead not guilty then chances are it will get plead to a parking ticker because the court does not have time nor the funds to go to trial on every ticket.....

 

I got rolled recently for 78 in a 35, and I cant complain about NHP. The guy didn't say much, and didn't give me a reckless driving ticket on top of speeding. I blew by him full boost/test pipe under a bridge! I just said, "sorry sir" when he walked up! He only said my car was so loud it rattled his teeth when i flew by while handing me 1 single speeding ticket.

I know im one lucky SOB. hehe
