Mitsu gave everyone bad info on clutches. Mine went out at 3k with 0 slips above 2500 and they still wouldn't fix it under warranty. Best backed cars in the world my a$$. Oh well, at least you will have it back soon. Just hope you dont have 25 "test" miles like John.

We were going under the speed limit in traffic where a truck swayed or swerved a little bit into my lane and clipped me, the clip caused my car to get turned sideways and he pushed me down the highway for about 200 feet, where my car then went into the center median, it was heading towards the other side of the freeway, however i manged to steer and brake to bring it to a stop before that happened. Important part though that I was able to walk away, and the trucker was able to walk away as well.

Cops says there were 2 witnesses, saying that they saw sport cars with blue head lights going fast on the freeway, and because of that, the cop wrote it up with me at fault. I also got a ticket for unsafe lane change with accident, with the court being the North Las Vegas one.

Car would not start after the accident, drivers door was smashed in and would not open, so I went out through the passenger side. Looks like the whole driver side of the car is going to need to be redone, along with new rims and tires all the way around and a ton of suspension work, because of being pushed sideways. The bbs rims on the driver side actually looked shreded probably do to the trucks wheel and lugnuts. Engine looks fine however so its probably not totaled unless there is frame damage which I haven't looked for yet. Car is in the tow yard, and I'll be out there monday to look at it in the daylight and take pictures.

Just would like to also say thanks to Jon and Will for stopping to make sure I was ok, I really apreciate that.
Dan

Sorry to hear what happened. That's BS that the cop wrote it up as your fault because of these so-called witnesses. Obviously they are way wrong in what they saw. That was the night of MM so there were probably a sh itload of "sports cars with blue headlights" driving in the same area that you were in but because you ended up having an accident they automatically assume it was you. So, the truck driver just played along and said it was your fault? I would fight it!

I'm with you, I would just want my car totalled out if that happened to me. I don't care how perfect they say they can get the car back to...it's never the same. Good luck with your fight and getting a new car.

Dan, sorry to see those pics. My opinion is it's fixable and you should not have any long term problems. You were pushed by the truck and not collided into. There's no intrusion into the passenger compartment and I bet the frame is fine.

Prolly needs suspension parts, wheels, brakes, sheetmetal, tires, painting. Hope they fix it good. The front end and engine are fine except for scratches. That's why they will not total it. It's prolly under 8K in damage. Nah, looking at the pics, I'd say around 6K to fix. Nowhere near being totaled.

The blue headlight is BS. Almost every high priced new car has HIDs and are blue. Doesn't mean sh*it. Cops see a fast car, young driver, they put the blame on you.

John, I want to get a good BOV. Any suggestions? I don't want a lot of messing with it. Also, can you get one for me at a decent price? Thanks.

hey john shot me one of those echelon stickers. front and back. got support the Las Vegas Evo Fam. but just wait until i get my car running again. which will be only God knows when. f*cking clutch. getting real tired of just looking at my car.

corey once again man im sorry about the delay, ill get u next week man i promise + some. u wont be disappointed.
the jun 272s are overkill for me right now after some researching.i'm goin with the jun 264s with all of the trimings.Justin you should buy an ACT.less than 500,and a great clutch to pratice on .i'm going with the ACT myself.i need more track exp, before i go with a twin carbon/carboni know you want a twin, but do some more research, and think about it.

Thanks, Casey. I was looking into that one. I don't trust the stock one anymore. It holds, but it would be nice to have a new one around.

the exedy twin disks isnt twin carbon/carbon is it??? i did do some research on the clutch. i could go wit an ACT plus a fidanza flywheel for a pretty decent price. but i dont know how many launches the ACT can handle. like i said before i can pretty much launch perfectly now. which is the reason why my clutch took a sh*t on me. and i heard the exedy twin disk can at least handle 100 high rpm launches.

im kinda in this mood just to go big and not have to worry about my clutch dieing on me again. but not being able to drive my car is making me nuts. so i still got some time to think about what imma do. i gotta save up the money first, while still trying to take care of other bills too.

hey john why is the 272 overkill for ya. let me know. cuz these are the cams i wanna get. pm me or just reply here. and can someone tell me the difference between jun and hks cams???
