Hey is anyone going to the VegasDrift.com drifting event coming up this Sunday (the 14th)?

My main concern is how to get there really. Anyone know? Or am I retarded and miss a thread about this?

Thanks

Nice seeing you guys out at the meet last night ... sorry I didnt stay longer and introduce my self to more people .... I had to get my boost controller installed and tunned so that I would be ready for Al today.

BTW the reminds me ...I get tunned tonight! ...300+ whp here I come

Also Jesse I have a couple of questions ... Installed the EBC last night and everything went along good. I put the plastic cap in the unused valve hole (or what every you call it) and tunned the car with it in last night ... Under WOT it would boot to 15psi and then sti there till 5500+ RPM then would go up to 19psi ... I read today that the cap is supose to be out so I took it out this morning and went for a test run and that fixed the problem ...

Here are the settings I ended up with:

Set = 62%
Gain = 7%
Set Gain = 10% (I think I need to adjust this up a bit)
Warning = 21psi
Limiter = 4%

^ how are those compared to your settings? I forgot to write yours down before I cleared them. Also I forgot to ask why you got rid of the Profec B?

What valve are you talking about? If you mean the one on the step motor, yeah that's not supposed to be in. As far as your settings, 62% for boost on my car got me around 24psi. I noticed it varied on different cars as Joe has the same controller and his settings were very different from mine. The gain and set gain are pretty close to what I was running. What boost are you trying to run? If you are running 21-22psi, I would set the warning to 22.5psi and leave the limiter at 4%.
The reason why I got rid of it was I thought the boost controller was the reason I wasn't holding boost. So I got a mbc thinking it would fix it, but it still did the same thing. I just decided to leave the mbc on. Plus I wanted to mount my alcohol control unit where I had the Greddy installed.

Set is to high. I would lower it to 50. Gain should be right around 10 and set gain should be approx. 13. Let me know if this works out better because if it doesn't I have a great write up on this EBC.

Yea the plastic cap that you had out I put in ... should have known it was supose to be out .. oh ... yea ... its in the step motor

I'm trying to get it to be at 19psi ... can I go 20psi on our crappy 91 ??? Right now Im peeking at 18.7-18.9ish with the current set up ...

If I bump up the Set Gain will it make the boost go higher? I think you had the set gain set at 15psi ... thats what I was going to move it up to according to the write up I read.

That's right I was mixing set and set gain up. I have that thread in my own words saved on my hard drive at home.

You can run 21psi on 91 just fine. I used to run 22psi on pump gas. Turning up the set gain is supposed to make you spool quicker, but it will make you spike if you set it too close to your desired boost. Try setting it to 15psi and see what happens. If you have the gain and set gain set too high, your boost will constantly spike and surge. Trust me, you'll know if the settings are too high. You just gotta play with it a little. I've messed with 3 different evos with this boost controller and the settings are different every time. Joe's settings were giving him 22.5psi, and when I entered his setttings I hit 26psi.

I read a thread where they said the 9's respond to ebc's better than 8's.
