So … if you have a wheel with a +15 offset, the mounting surface is shifted 15mm outward (or toward the curb) from the centerline of the wheel. So the lower the number, the more aggressive the wheel will look with a bigger lip. You can actually have a negative offset too … like -20 for a supa-gangsta deep-dish. Even Pizza Hut® would be jealous. A +48 is going to push the mounting surface even further away from center, which is going to tuck more wheel underneath the car. I hope this all makes sense. I don't think that's going to clear. You could use a 10mm spacer, but I don't know how you feel about that. Chances are, that wheel with a +48 offset has a minimal lip and looks more like a fwd application…
Thanks Lee, I just talked to our parts manager and he explained the same way. The +48 is the honda/acura offset (makes since because there sitting on the dearlership showroom ) so I need to find them in a lower offset or use the spacers like you said, but I think that would hurt the performance aspect. That's what I get for thinking

Thinking is fine … when it's done in the right mind.

They make them in a 17x8 +35 so that should not have any fitment issues using stock tires?

I've seriously always been a fan of Kinesis wheels. They make some mess that looks pretty damn tuffy. Maybe I'm just a ricer …
