I decided not to hit the event. Money's tighter than Manny's mom's 12-point brown star. Trying to save a bit for a third vehicle of some sort. Something slow, munchkin-friendly and AWD for snowboarding trips. Maybe an Element or a supercharged Range Rover Sport.

Manny, I want to log my VIII some time to see if its pulling timing with the MBC set to peak at 22psi (only in 5th, otherwise 21) and it holds 20psi to about 6.5k then 19 there out. using a mix with 100 to make 94.

Gonzo, to help break in your clutch on the highway, just shift from 4th to 5th and back every few seconds. The engagement, disengagement is what helps the break in process. Thats why city driving is suggested. Stop and go is best but no reason not to take advantage of the highway as well.

 

Gas hog FTL …

I was kidding about a Range Rover. I looked at an LR3 and it didn't pass my "feel the dash" test. Felt cheap and flimsy. No way I'd fork out coin upwards of 50k for something that feels worse built than the Evo and is supposed to be "luxury." Fackin' Ford.

I did steer a Sexterra, an Element, a Rav, and a CX-7. Sexterra was a 6-speed. Shifter felt very old-school trucklike. It was OK. I dug the 5-speed Element. I was pleasantly surprised, despite its ugliness. Typical solid well-built Honda. The Rav was actually pretty bad-*** and gets the best mpg of the bunch … 21/28. I always thought of previous Ravs being sort of chick-cars, but the new one with the 269-horse v6 bones the hell out. The CX-7 was pretty cool, too. Not as much interior room as the rest, but it has turbo fun … hmmm flash?

And if you decide with a Xterra come see me i work for nissan, just dont waste my time like that guy Rene that PM's me asking if i work for nissan and comes to my dealership and buys from another salesperson. Thought us Evo owners were supposed to stick together . And i wont make a 5,000 front end deal on a lease like they did Rene on his LE aramada
