just trying to get your guys' opinions since you get a million different answers in the general forums... 3 gauges: which ones to get? boost, oil temp, and oil pressure? thanks for the input..

boost, oil pressure (or temp), and egt.

No need for EGT, it just doesnt tell you that much. If your running super lean, it will be hot, and super rich will be cold. A wideband does a better job.

You had it right as far as Im concerned, boost and the oil temps and press. Oil is the lifeblood of your motor, it will tell you if somethings wrong.

a wideband uses the same probe as an egt though. And it's not as sensitve as you think as far as the temps go with the lean and rich. I had one on my 05 and it was very consistent.

It was consistent because you were tuned and your car ran good though. Thats what I meant, if you are major lean the temp will go up, but by then its probably already too late.

It doesnt use the same probe. It uses the same bung as far as placement, but an 02 sensor and a temp probe arent the same.
