Las Vegas Evo's
Yeah I took it in the shorts, in minor words, when I got my X. I rolled over negative equity but made sure I can afford to do it before jumping right into it. I don't know if the finance manager was filling me a bunch of crap or what but he told me that our Evo's have one of the best resell values. Like I said I have not researched this yet so he could be full of $hit but my old car was Done and I ran it through the ringer.........so I always wanted a Evo and here I am.

seriously, imports all the way for resell value all i can say to anyone who doesnt already know. go to victorville mitsubishi if u want an new evo. u'll get it at wholesale. if they dont have ur car they get it for u from one of their partner store. when i get my IX, i bought it from victorville but had to pick it up from south coast. which was cool cuz it helped me break in the car. see on top of getting a good price, u get to have a nice lil drive and break in ur car.
Peoples and Courtesy are owned by the same people haha. Both ****ty. Fidel at Courtesy is the parts guy who is the only guy I will deal with if I need anything for the Evo... Ever need anything go see him. Otherwise never ever ever never ever buy a car from either stealerships...South Coast FTMFW.
Not? Well thats you, and thats fine but on the other hand.....
Guess your not up one of the biggest controversy over the best way to break in engines. It can be done on a dyno, street or race track.
Short version
On the Street:
Warm the engine up completely:
Because of the wind resistance, you don't need to use higher gears like you would on a dyno machine. The main thing is to load the engine by opening the throttle hard in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear.

As far as dealerships, I have never had anything go right with ANY courtesy. However Fidel is the Man in parts, and Sergio treats me right in sales when I'm lookin around. There is one guy in service thats good but I forgot his name. I think my wife knows more about the cars then the rest of em. And she don't mind letting them know.
I remember one time sales guy was going on and on, telling her about the HID's and fogs on a GSR. Then she asks him to point to the fog light. so the sales guy points to the main headlight assembly. So then my wife says, if you go turn on the lights, then show me how the HID's look and fogs make things brighter we'll take the car. the sales guy turned the lights on, was telling her how pimp the "HID"s (that whrere really hallogens)look, and spent like 5 minutes looking for a foglight switch and even made a call. Then he found out the GSR don't have fog lights or HID"S. LOLOLOLOLOLOL
So my wife says "Yea, thats what I thought you moron" LOL
Got my wifes IX at Vicorville with Manny and Jesse, we drove home 3 that night. Couldn't find a better deal in the country.

OMG the look on his face was classic, that thing must have been running 15's before so that's why it felt like 10's

Ive read that. Apparently you havent. It says right on there the best way on the street:
The best method is to alternate between short bursts of hard acceleration and deceleration
Which is what I said. YOU said to take it to the rev limit, and I said umm NOT! Read that page again dude, NEVER ever does he say anything about bouncing it off the rev limit. Seating the rings by giving it power in short bursts, EXACTLY what I said.
Also just so you know, that website is dealing with high compression motorcycle engines. I agree with what he says, but dont read it word for word and use it as gospel. Thats the reason why I said I like to give my motor some boost in quick bursts, but I stay under 5k for the first couple hundred miles.
