took the car in to get the 5th gear grind warrantied and my claim got denied. dealer said that mitsu denied it because my car is "heavily modified" (exhaust, intake, mbc and a tune) called mitsu and they escalated my claim so a manager will call me tomorrow.
anyone know what else i can do from here so i can get this warrantied? a better dealer/ person to talk to? thanks for any help...

 

the best thing would have been to take thoes off, even the tune. Im sorry, but ive got a feeling that they will still deny your claim.

 

taking all of that off would be a pain (some of the stock parts are in ca, etc) it just seemed like such a common problem, and since im on the stock clutch, i figured they would warranty it. oh well. looking into the shep rebuild now.

 

anyone going to Mayhem on friday ? I've never been and i wated to get a feel what my car will do

Last time i went i got denied entry because i didnt have all my paper work

valid license
current registration
current proof of insurance.---didnt have a current one
and cash flo i think its like 10bucks for driver 10bucks if you have a rider

Ha, score another kill for hardcoregonzo. Cursed out an American civilian in my shop today. Last thing I remember saying to him was GO F UCK YOURSELF. LOL! Yeah, that happened in front of our Shop Foreman. I'm done working today. Not going back untill tomorrow.

Which dealer did you go to? Courtesy gave me the run around for an ABS problem and told me the same thing eventually, that my warranty was void. I even went through mitsu corporate and they told me the same thing due to modifications. So then I took it to United and Adam took care of it under warranty, replaced the driveshaft. So much for my warranty being voided huh?

Take it to Adam at United, he usually can care less that its modded. That and I had my 5th gear taken care of when I had exhaust on the car too.

I heard peoples is a pain in the *** too. I only go to United now.

 

United eh... They are the same people that tried to charge me 14 dollars for an oil filter!! Of course i called them out on it. The parts dept seems a bit slimey!
