THe stopping power is not the same as lets say...a .357 but the round and gun is very capable and will definately knock a dude six feet back and make him not get up.
I dont like Berattas. They are a decent gun but I feel for the money there are better ones. With Colts you pay a lot for the name. The Springfield Armory guns are cheaper, better quality parts, and will outshoot (tighter groupings) compared to a Colt 1911. .45 acp is a great round for semi-auto and dont jam very often. Usually its due to poorly made bullets.
9mm on the other hand are great guns. Easy to shoot, cheap to shoot. The 9mm round can be found anywhere in the world and the size of the case makes it ideal for full auto or semi auto guns.
When you get home if you want a 1911, one of the guys I work with is an authorized Springfield dealer and can get you 1911 for around 450 for the base model...660-700 for the loaded model like I am going to get.
I dont trust Glocks. Would never carry one. Taurus and Smith and Wesson for revolvers only. Para-Ordanance is also very high quality.
Hope all this helps.

Second, Smith and wesson make a very awesome semi-auto, I can't believe you never heard of the sw99. ( I do agree about the Taurus though)
Third, Berretas do suck a$$ especially the m9 they issue in the military. nothing could ever live up to the 1911 unless they gave us HK USP.
Just my opinion though guys. I don't know to much bout guns cuz they scare me and I don't like them.

He seems cool though....talked to him a little bit. He said just a full exhaust on the car but it seems way to quick for just that.

Looks like I'm getting a 1911. Just which manufacturer is up in the air.

Documented cases of glocks taking a ****. I have put reloads in all of my guns and never once would this happen. Glock you have to worry about and if a reload can do that, then one defective bullet at the time you need it most......
Smith and Wesson....they are traditional revolver makers. I would not think twice about owning one of their revolvers though.
H&K...awsome handgun. Thats why so many cops use them. Same with the special forces they rely on Sig products, H&K, Springfield
I am very very picky about my semi-auto handguns. I use them exclusively.
What else do you disagree with?? My perception of the ammo and why certain calibers are suited to a particular type of gun?
What guns do you own?
