A lot more comfortable, and almost killed myself when it rained a few weeks ago. Traction control on + a right turn = tires spinning well into 2nd gear.... at under 3k rpm. It's a fun little car though, about the same as far as gas goes compared to the evo. $198 a month payments. Just needs more POWAH!

Dont know if it was the fluids fault when we drained it it was alot thinner then the OEM fluid but held up well for 3k miles.
I have replaced it with OEM fluid and the 1-2 shift got noticeably smoother when hot.
I am a firm believer in the OEM stuff for the 5 speed.
6 speed needs something special to dissipate heat without thermal breakdown.

6 speed needs castrol syntorq LT. Can buy it from Erik@Mil.Spec on here, thats his username if you want to PM him. Its 75/85 just like stock fluid, but holds up better to heat. Can use it in the 5 speed too, and alot of guys run the super diaqueen (6 speed stock oil) in the 5 speed as well. I dont think MT90 works too well in our gearboxes honestly.

On a side note, I just bought 5 quarts of Redline 10w30 at Meyers, holy crap 9 bucks a quart! I might have to find something a little cheaper that is still polyol ester based oil. Time to upgrade from the mobil 1 I think, but holy crap at that price not really!

Damn that sucks....I drive like an old lady most of the time and don't push my trans as hard as most....and the few times i've drained and replaced fluids, the tranny fluid still looked like it was in pretty good condition...I use OEM fluids for everything else and mt-90 for the trans.

I wasn't too happy with Mt-90 in my evo 9 5 speed trans, just didn't like to go into gear when it was cold for some reason. I changed to Penzoil Synchromesh (you can buy this at Autozone) and it shifts a lot better in all conditions. Here is some info

Here is the link to my sponsor area of VegasImports.com. You should be able to find all the info you need there.

Please PM me if you have any other questions. You can also poll the folks here. I have done several (about 8) Evos from EvoM in the Vegas area.

Oh you don't need to prove anything to me! If Evo guys here are trusting you then I'll join the bandwagon as well! I'll definitely keep in touch though, probably hit you up in the next week/week and a half.

If you go with the OEM stuff, let me know and I can save you some change on buying it. I bought a 5 gallon bucket when I had to do my clutch (the only size they had) and there is enough left after mine and 3 other clutch jobs to probably squeeze one more out.
