Las Vegas Evo's
*sigh* I cant even meet up with a group of people For a sunday drive anymore, this is ****ing pathetic. I mean yes, there was a group of cars, all ages, 8 years old to 55 years old. And There are 6 cops + 1 NHP just waiting across all the cross streets, NHP had half of the turn into to the parking lot blocked, just chillin waiting to nab us as we leave to enjoy a red rock picnic and bbq. Like, I know they read forums and what not, but thats just outta hand. This is ****ing pathetic. They are always where crime isn't, worried about the smallest of things. Sadly I couldn't even pull in the parking lot to have a little friendly conversation, they are lucky I didn't feel like getting a modified exhaust ticket today.
For every 1 innocent person there is two dirty pigs, For every Guilty person there is 1 fat worthless cop.

^why is it I can drive around along with all (*most) of us evo owners (even cruise with 5-15 evos on one of our BBQs) and not be harassed by the police?
I have got one ticket in my evo and it was my fault. I was courteous and the officer dropped the speeding charge from 25 over to 10 over. Yes this happened.
It was most likely do to the fact that I have a clean record... but you get the point.
I understand there are a few times where the police just are looking for a exhaust or a tint, but there are a few on this local forum that are constantly complaining about being ticketed every other month. These people also seem to have a strong distaste for law enforcement. Usually People who have a distaste for police are the people that are constantly caught breaking the law, and it doesn't matter to what extent, you are breaking the law somehow.
Now a word from my experience, be honest, be courteous, and be helpfull even if you are still going to get a ticket.
I promise it wont be as bad as if you decided to be a *****... but hey some people just have it coming.

oh no, i didn't get a ticket, I've only ever been pulled over one time (my fault as well) for speeding. What I am saying is, There is plenty more to do, than have 1nhp and 3 squad cars, and 2 motorcycle cops sit outside your meet, where people are parked, taking pictures, walking around, collecting school supplies for the SAVE THE SCHOOL's foundation fund and harass you.
If they are going to attend our meet, atleast follow the rules and bring school supplies. It's more than apparent they read the forums, they know what is going on. I understand they are lucky if half of them make $50,000 a year and can't afford to bring a couple note books or pencils cuz they are having a hard time putting food on their own families tables, but a rule is a rule (for any po po's reading).
Hell I don't even know if anyone got pulled over after they all left to redrock for the cruise, I didn't stay to find out, The point of the complaint was that it is 100% ridiculous that they feel like they have to make their presence known, and in such large force, you woudd have thought a drug bust was going down if you were there. I could understand at most 2 squad cars pulled in parked, who had brought supplies for the good cause we were having, walked around and enjoyed themselves, not play the role of hardass, its pretty obvious when a cop is harassing you and when they are minding their own business.

Just a thought, but did you ever think they might have been waiting for one person in particular? Maybe they were looking for criminals...
they didnt even give out a ticket?
They where just sitting there?
hahahahha and your *****ing?
I bet if some deranged teacher that got fired pulled out two glocks and started blasting all the SAVE THE SCHOOL organizers, and the people around, and there where no cops there you wouldve been crying "where were all the Cops on this Sunday morning!?".
And the little poke at the income of a police officer. Consider this; the average yearly income for a college grad out of college is 45k a year.
Metros starting salary is 10k a year more than that. And their pay scale falls right in line with an advancing Bus/Economics major through career retirement. (which is in 25 years for a Metro officer)
So tell the 405 perspective candidates for Police officer at last Tuesdays testing that they wont be making **** but in reality there are making more than a college grad pushing papers hating life trying to pay off their college debt.
All the while they are involved in one of the most exciting careers with an unreal amount of opportunities.
