Do you know anywhere in the north las vegas area that sells 100 octane? That wouldn't make my car run richer?

Btw, the hesitation was still there when I was using 94 octane. Not as bad, but still noticable. Could it be the tune?

100 octane burns slower, so yes you will be running rich if you put that in. 10.8 to 10.9 afr isnt great, but its not terrible. I usually tune for 11.1 on 91 octane at 20psi, so your not far off.

I would need to see your tune to be able to tell. I know Lucas does a FANTASTIC job tuning though.

What are you using for boost control? You said it started happening when you put the o2 housing in, wonder if after installing that when you put everything back together maybe a hose is still loose or something and have a weird boost leak. Who knows. I would check the plugs, see if they have black soot all over them from being too rich. Next do a boost leak test if possible. After that, stay as far as F*CK away from doug's blow up your car on the dyno power as you can. Ive seen the result of his tunes first hand, rods bent like bannanas. Im moving so I cant help you out much unless its in the next two weeks, I do wideband road tunes. Trevor at trevtec does great work, I would call him.

If you have time and want to roll over in my neck of the woods (eastern/215) I will pull the flash and see if we can find something funky, but I doubt thats it. I wont charge ya or anything though.

Oh I just saw in your sig your using an EBC. That could be an issue. They usually are a real bish to tune, and its possible you have some wastegate duty cycles typed in wrong or something. I would look at that first actually, make sure everything looks correct. Only reason I mention it is I saw that exact same problem on a guys evo a couple months ago. Doug tuned the EBC, then broke his passenger side mirror off (lol). Kid sold it and went MBC and never looked back. Im sure the EBC would have worked, but they are a serious pita.

I had a mbc before, but it was a piece of crap turbo xs bc. It would spike to like 24 psi in 5th gear and after a lot of adjusting, I couldn't get it to work. So after that I went to an ebc. I don't know if the shop that installed it set it up correctly though.

Everyone else. I am working nights the next 2 weeks starting this coming monday. That means that anyone who need a detailing done that can't fit into the normal Sat or Sun apt, I would be happy to fit you in anytime before 2 pm any of these days.

Let me know if any of you need some work done.

I know lol. However, after emailing back and forth, Doug hasn't been very helpful or willing to try and help me figure out what's wrong though. This crap's frustrating and I need to get it sorted out before I go ape$hit lol.

the two places i know of are on Rancho and Lone Mountain (some feed store that looks ancient) and Ranco and Cheyenne (reble gas station..more modern).

try a good mbc. those turbo xs ones are crap. the ix does respond well to ebc's but getting them down can be a b1tch. halman is a good cheap fix if that's the problem.
