I have the same problem when i install my AMS CAI on my X. all you have to do is check for a vacuum leak or check for an exhaust leak or perhaps clean your MAF sensor cause sometimes when you install an intake the hole where the MAF sensor go is not perfectly fit so it pick up dirt or oil in your filter, so just spray it with electronic or brake clean but make sure its dry before you install the MAF sensor and reset your ECU

i just got my car tuned by chris last month.....the code popped up after i was boosting on 3dr and 4th gear on the freeway....then i was wtf happened now....i checked the code with my scanner and cleared it....hasn't come back on yet today...




i have heard of that too about the maf throwing that code......where can you find the cleaning material for the maf????.....

 

I would check for a boost leak. I had a burnt vacuum line that was the issue. Replaced line..all good.

 

hello, new vegas guy here… I’ve always been a fan of EVO’s (since I saw an EVO 4 in person) but just couldn’t afford it. So I hope you guys don’t mind if I come here and just adore these cars. Hopefully the day would come when I am able to afford to get my first evo.

I currently have a boosted bmw e36. just installed the turbo kit a couple of months ago but I never had the chance to get it on a dyno, or get the little things fixed, so I have no clue on how much it power it makes but all I know is other bmw’s that got the same kit puts down about 450-500+whp depending on their supporting mods.

Anyway looking forward to turning some wrenches with you guys.

well, i dont have any issues on the boost part.....its boosting fine @ 20psi, but ill check out my vacuum lines tho....thanks for the help
