Advan ES100's are the norm, I wouldn't plan on tracking them but they're alright.

Nitto RT615's seem to be popular also. I would definitely go with those over the Advans

I went... they were mainly just giving warnings, they took down my vin said if I go fast they will mark me down the list not to let in. When I was pulling into the gates I was asking about some rules and they guy said no synthetic oil, I said what???!? I think they are still working things out though. A few civics came in on street tires and put their slicks on, they made them take them off. I ran a 12.4 at 110 taking it easy, I was on a complete full interior, spare tire, jack and full oem exhaust with factory cat. Car was misfiring so I just parked it.

well its time to replace the stock advan tires......what do you guys recommend for a DD??? nothing crazy expensive in a 255-40-17 size......maybe the azenis rt-615??.....

 

When I had 17" I ran the falken's but there not the best thing for rain or any kinda snow. I like all seasons because I go to Salt Lake a lot and don't wanna be without em. Last ones I had I really liked 245/45/17 yokohoma advan s4's

off the top of my head I don't know whats on my 18" I got the rims with tires already on them

I got there a bit late, around 7:30 and there was no line, I pulled right up to tech. I made my first run in about 30 min. I think people didn't show because of the rain earlier but I checked the website and it said they were open. It started to rain around 9pm so I went home.

the only added the car teh.. pop your hood. If everything looks good, you go thru. there was no line when we got there. As far as the guy saying no synthetic oil.. i think that guy was just stupid.

my take on it was they were just making sure that the car wasn't poorly put together. POS car get rejected, good cars got thru. they even let a few of the domestics in with slicks. That all motor cobra with the big wing and the 250 shot ran a 9.93 before the rain.

Before the rain there was only once they held up cars and that was for a few water spots on the startline. no breaks or oildowns till the rain started. There wasn't one turbo honda out there, so i dont know if they are turning them back. The tech guy asked to see my battery even though its oem located in the trunk and when i asked him he said they weren't barring people for stuff like that as long as it was done properly.

 

yeah I seen a few with Hoosiers, they may be the DOT legal ones. I just don't think they will know exactly what to look for and what to enforce. They seemed to let the domestic guys run whatever, open exhaust, skinnies up front, nitrous etc. I think they will really look at the beat up Hondas.
