I've got a mio, my parents have a garmin(not sure of the model #'s). I've been more impressed with the garmin as the mio seems to pick odd routes for short trips very frequently. I believe it to be mostly caused by a setting in the mio where you choose whether you want to take local streets or highways. If you choose highways it seems to try and put you on a highway no matter where you're going, even if that means sending you on a round trip. The garmin OTOH has been fabulous the few dozen times that I've used it, but pricier and updates are ~70 bucks I believe.

I stopped using both when I got my G1 about 6 months ago and just use that now.

damn Baller Brian with the G1. I have tried few Garmins, they all worked great, easy touch screen but I like the 200 as it is small and compact and price was right. If you want to spend a little more and get the 260 for the widescreen I would get it, easier to ready... but the 200 works for me.

baller haha, no! I've just done a bit of work with android. If you want to try it out to see what it would be like prior to buying you can download the android SDK and try out the mapping functionality. Granted it doesn't have working GPS functionality it should still give you a good idea of what you'll be working with.

Hey guys, I'm going to be moving back to Vegas soon and hear that the state requires smog checks every year... My problem is that I have four cars that have no chance in hell of passing a test. I know that a lot of you have the same problem... How do you get around it? Feel free to PM me (I'm not a cop or state ref so don't worry - just a concerned evo owner ).

Thanks and I look forward to contributing to this HUGE thread once I get my house haha.
