So I'm wonderin.. whats everyone running clutch wise (besides the exedy twin)..

I've got one supposedly in there from previous owner and it's about to go.. It's harder than **** to shift. I'm seeing on the forum most are running the exedy but I don't feel like dropping another 1200 bucks for one..

I had a competition clutch in the old RSX and it was fantastic.. they have one for the evo at about 600 bucks..

you are supposed to be able to rebuild those twin disc's

i am running an ACT heavy duty pressure plate with street disc and street lite flywheel. back in 07 i had the same clutch and what seemed like every weekend i was launching 5-10 times a night. went on strong for 30k hard miles. i know a shop H1motors or something like that has a special on competition clutches their stage 3, what ever that is, for 450.00. thats about the same as act but im more familiar with and can vouch for them.

Ahhh I may go that route. For some reason the ACT in the RSX was BAAAAD so i've steered clear of them since then. But sounds like a different story for the evo.

Yea I found a rebuild kit for 450 on lancershop.. but seeing as how they lied about the intercooler, who knows wtf is in my car for a clutch right now..

there is a shop in town that has a special going on rite not on ACT products and can get you a good deal on a kit. plus if you are like me and want to avoid head ache they will install it to . they just did mine about 5K ago.

ahh.. sweet.. I was looking at that and talked to modern auto on AIM.. they told me with a goal like 450 they think ACT would not be a good choice.. and I should go with a twin disk or the fidenza kit..

Question for any evo guys ages 18-22 or around there. I am looking into getting a hold of a 7 when I turn in my GTS and I am curious to see how much local evo owners in my age range are paying for insurance in this city. I am currently paying 250/month for full coverage with gieco. What are you guys paying and with which carrier?
