Homeland security has gone ape **** over this. Funny how they're concentrating their efforts on cars instead of illegals floating around the US. We hopefully I still have my GTR when she hits 25, then I can legally import her.
Kaizo is in some **** right now. They were importing Skylines as kit cars. Basically they were removing the drivetrain and beefing up the bodies to meet US safety standards. Thing about that is, if you put the same drivetrain back in the car, it's no longer considered a kit car, but an illegal import. So say I want to bring my GTR back to the states through this company. I pay them, my car gets into the states, I would have to swap in like an LS1 or something to keep it legal under kit car rules. It's all a mess.
HMMM sounds like certain powers that be are pissed they are not getting there cut so they resort to tracking down non usdm cars and crush them then take the funds used to buy them. Wow homeland security at its best.
Anyone have some front brake pads they don't need anymore? Looking for track pads for my X, but I'm pretty sure the 8 and 9 pads (fronts only) are the same. PM or email if you have anything! Trying to get ready for the reline time attack this weekend!
Thanks
Thanks
^ ehh call road race engineering they ussually get them to me in a day or so... and good prices...
anything performance friction, if they you are still on the stock tires stick with z rated pads even though they are not track pads typically they will be OK you will need to give em a rest every 3-4 laps, if you have a different tire maybe fresh REo11s or something of the like you could use the 97.5 coumpoud.
Either way Road race has always got the parts to me in 2 days or less with their normal shipping.

Thanks man, I was looking at trying to get some used pads, since I have a very small budget lol. Yes still on the stock tires, in fact the whole car is stock besides HKS panel filter and cobb accessport. I don't expect to be competetive, but should be a fun track day at least. I'll take a look at RRE for some pads.
You will be there too right? What class are you in?
Edit: Do you think I could get away with some decent pads just in the front? And leave the rears stock? I'm getting SS lines and will replace the fluid also before the event.
