Rolled my rear fenders today, boy was that a ton of fun lol. Was getting some rub on hard turns, and didnt want to rub at SMMP this weekend. My car is officially a track car now, paint chipped to high hell and I dont curr! Just gonna grab some touch up paint, it really isnt too bad. TONS of clearance now, so 275 v710's here I come!

 

I'm purchasing a IX MR from United Mitsubishi and I am having a horrible experince with them. First of all I am out of town on business and saw this beautiful MR pop up on their website with a handful of base mods which is exactly what I have been looking for. I called them up, we worked out a deal, they Fed x me the papers and as far as I'm concerned it was a done deal. Just waiting for me to pick it up when I got back on the 15th. The car has Cams, exhaust, AEM wideband, turbo timer, injectors, etc. Now they are telling me that (GET THIS, THIS IS A GOOD ONE) the turbo timer caused the "injectors to burn out" so they had to replace them, that the wide band 02 was "causing the car to run sluggish" so they had to take it off. After explaining that I was quite familiar with EVOs as well as the mods and what they were telling me was absolute BULL**** they connected me to the tech that was working on the car. Then the story changed....THE AEM came off so the car could pass emissions, the injectors were to big (680s) so it was causing the car to run too rich at idle.... After I explained to him once again how he was wrong he then said..."OH.... well I don't know, I'm not to familiar with these cars". HOLLYYYYY ****!!!! You have to be kidding me....


These flipping people are the biggest A holes I have ever dealt with. I haven't even explained to you how the General Manegar (MARK LASTER) hung up on me while we were working on the deal..... YEA YEA I KNOW ...WALK AWAY, Buy from someone else....If it wasn't for this is the exact car, color and all I have been hunting for, I would....

SOOOOOOO Does anyone know who this car belonged too so i can get the real scoop on it? 06 MR, Gunmetal gray, 13 K miles, with the mods listed above?

 

That is all I needed to read to determine you have made a critical error in judgement. Do not allow your desire to get an Evo separate you from your common sense. Break through the darkness of quick deals and let the bright lights of the sacred clue be the beacon that guides you away from the pit of despair that is "buying a car in Vegas".

Not really. What made south coast mitsu today was their service and prices for teh evo. I got mine there and that was when I used to live in Cali. Never knew a dedicated evo forum exited until they told me about it. So they still gave me my deal and walked out with a brand new 2005 tb ssl. Give them a call, maybe they can find you one for way less then this piece of sh it dealership. Good luck
