Ok.. so i go into the dealer on friday and reserve a WW EVO on the showroom floor with 10miles. I go in to pick it up today, and they try to pimp off one that has been parked outside with 24miles. THEY REFUSED TO SELL ME THE ONE I RESERVED?!! WTF? They even tried all these shady tactics to try to get me to buy the one I didnt want.

PLUS, the one outside already had the license frame bolted on the bumper....and they said even if they gave me the showroom one, they would bolt it on before i leave. What a bunch of lamerz....

Anyways, I called around and found a much better dealer out in Norco. I'm heading out tomorrow to buy it from them. I'll keep everyone posted!

 

i hear ya, i went there and i wanted to get a stupid lancer and they were like how about an evo or eclipse blah blah then they tried to sell me automatic so many times and i specifically told them no like many times. they just dont wanna listen. i would of bought a car with no hassel because i knew what a wanted and what price. their loss i guess.

 

i ended up going to tustin mitsubishi, they were a lot more helpful. i recommend them. i bought 2 cars from them so maybe theyll give you a deal or something.

 

Yeh that really sucks, its about a 50% chance o dealers though. Some try to screw you and some do what you ask.

 

when I bought mine the dealer just tried to get me to buy the first car he showed me and wouldn't let me look at anything else. I gave up on seeing other cars because I was to lazy to go to another dealer, and I kinda liked the lancer. Sucks for him b/c I probably would of bought the evo or eclipse then. I made him wait a few weeks to get his cut of it though, I was conveniently hard to get a hold o ffor a few weeks there and he would call and leave message 3+ times a day.

 

Bad dealer. Boycott them. Sent them to the boycott list.

 

Following your purchase from the other dealer, return to Costa Mesa mitsubishi (with your new ride) and let them see you! Be sure to talk to the sales guy...show them you were really serious and they lost a sale.

 

Trust me, they don't give a crap. I went back after I bought my car from Thousand Oaks Mitsu, just to rub it in. They try and act like they're happy for you. Yea, right.

That's ok though. I ocasionally drive by CM Mitsu and always see the same Evos on the front line. Apparently, the salesman have found out that the rear wing makes a pretty good coffee cup holder!
