actually... for me this is kind of exciting.... i wish i had my evo now... besides the cars won't shop up for another couple weeks by that time the weather should be clear.

 

Thats fun and all, in a unpopulated area and with a car that is very neutral at the limit. My truck, on the other hand, has the vernerable Ford rear end. In the wet, its either slow and straight or fast and spin.

eh...hydroplaining is cool but if your doing it on the freeway with 5 cars behind you and 3 cars next to you at about 60mph...it isn't fun cus the thought of loosing control and smashing into the other cars around you isn't a good thing to see...or water splashing on your windows from the other side of the freeway and loosing visibility from it then suddenly the traffic on the 101 slows down and you smash into the guy in front of you...and dumb asses who think they are superman going 80 through the rain taking advantage of all the people who purposely reduce their speeds on a rainy day to avoid accidents....smash on their brakes kus the freeway interchange up ahead nearly stops the traffic and the guys doing 80 have little time to react to the sudden change of traffic so out of panic they smash their brakes the tires lose traction hydroplane and smash into the mass of traffic up ahead.

yeah...i've seen it happen and experienced a situation similar to it in my friends car...accidents suck...accidents while its raining suck more kus you get wet and your nice shoes get messed up hehe -=oP

on my way home from school 134west right where it converts to the 101 it ends up becoming a bottle neck and traffic nearly stops. A guy in the far left lane going 80 nearly missed the traffic ahead he was lucky that there was no one in the car pool lane or else he would've been fawked! after seeing that i decided not to take the 101 and got on the 170 heading towards the 5fwy. i was on the far right lane about to exit and a camry in the middle lane ran over a puddle of water i suppose the person driving freaked out from the lift and lost control...luckily the freeway was near empty and everyone on the freeway was far enough to see what happened, slowed down and get on the outer lanes so the camry can turn around and start moving. Two near fatal accidents within a span of 15min of driving on the freeway. [Thats why LA drivers are the worst drivers in rain compared to the rest of the country] People are in too much of a rush.

Well... like anybody cares, but i am going to come out too. I really want to check everybody's car out and see what mods they have done. I just got my lancer yesterday, and its the first asian import car I have owned so I am new to all of this. Is the meet in Costa Mesa there off the 405 or is that just a meetup point to caravan to the actual meet?
