i'm from san luis obispo. about 20 minutes from troie in cayucos. driving for sat and sunday totaled about 500-600 miles. besides the case this past weekend, i love the weather in socal. love kickin it at the block, citywalk at universal, dave and busters, and hooters in santa monica.

 

Wow kris gotta give you props for making the meets. how long does it take you to get down to the meets? (usually?) Maybe we should consider a meet more north of Los Angeles?

 

about 3 1/2 - 4 hours. it really isn't bad at all. i like the drive. i'm a driving machine. i usually drive 300 miles (one way) to visit my girl in san francisco at least once a month too. this past weekend she came to SLO to visit me and we both came down to the meet.

 

wow from san luis??? holy crap...hehe im usually out there at my time share for quick get aways from the city...the drive is near 2hrs. to San Fernando Valley and then driving out to the meets would be another hour...you deserve a medal bro i give you props for being dedicated and willing enough to drive all the way over here from san luis! you should meet up with some of the San Fernando guys then caravan with them to the meets to give you some company for the drive to the meets.

 

LOL and i complain about driving an hour hahah

so there we go...it's asking a whole lot but...maybe we can have a soCal field trip and head up to the mellow central coast letting myself and Rhyzin show you the fun we can have here.hopefully i can make a soCal meet in a bit...i work weekends now but am going for a new job on wed(a actual 9-5er...no more 6:30 am-3:00 weekend one)

what road is that one? was that the old canyon road you were talking about? i'm going to buy a map of this area one of these days and scout out some nice routes. any time you feel you wanna roll down to a meet with me, let me know.

soon as the winds die down and the weather warms up, i think imma attach a camcorder to my passenger seat and record some of the roads around here. i usually drive around with an eclipse gsx and a wrx, so i'm usually the last one in line, hehehe. hard to keep up sometimes.

also, a summer expedition for you socal folks to come up here wouldn't be such a bad idea. actually its a good idea! hehehe. come on down!

 

the first one is santa rosa creek and the second is the road up to the castle.tell you what...when(or if )gas lowers i'll give you a call and show you all the fun backroads
