You can't avoid smog if you're a Washoe County resident. Registering your car in Carson or Fallon wont do you any good since you don't live in either of those counties so they'll require you to have a valid smog (less than 90 days old). This is from our friends at Nevada DMV If a friend or family member lives in Douglas,Lyon, or Storey county you can use their address to register and avoid the smog.

hey fellas, after trading in my E90 BMW, im back! just got a brand new AS evo X MR and i love it the TC-SST is one amazing tranny. ive never seen anything shift so fast. that includes the 911 turbo's tiptronic. the handling is also much better than my old IX stock for stock. it feels a lot more neutral at the limit and rear biased. the car feels like its got more tq but less hp than the ix but to live with everyday and as a whole package, the car is leaps and bounds better than my IX. only 1200 more miles til i can take her to 7k.

Its not...thats exactly what I said in the quote. You can register with a friend or family members address, I guess if they wanted to give you a hard time about it they could ask you for some sort of proof of residence at that particular address (i.e. utility bill, drivers license) but honestly I don't think they'd do anything. My friend lives in Reno and registers his car at his parents address in Douglas county so he doesnt have to smog...no problems

Thanks man! I may take you up on that next year. I've also found that the places w/o emissions also have cheaper car taxes

Tripp did the lady you left the business card with ever get back to you heh?

This appears to be a pretty sweet deal; http://austin.craigslist.org/car/770880232.html

Does anybody know where to get Project Mu caliper paint, or a color similar? Its time to redo my calipers, and I'm gonna go with something other than the Brembo Red.

Saw a GG IX MR driving around the marina yesterday. The guy didnt look too friendly but he had the 30 day dealer temp on it. Anybody know who it is? Need to not allow choadbuckets to buy evos, it seems to be a great community for the most part, without the rice doing 100 on prater tarnishing our reputation. Let the ricer **** stick to STi's.

I hate to do this, but I simply don't have the time, motivation, or the garage space to keep this car. Priced at $1500.

5 speed trans, 130k miles, clean title/carfax.

Just installed built head with fresh resurface, Manley springs and retainers, newer valve grind and seals. HKS 272s. Practically new small 16g turbo with about 50 miles on it. New Greddy timing belt. All new belts and gaskets/seals. New battery.

Everything else is stock.

The car will come with stock wheels with 90% tread left on tires. If you would like the black painted Evo 9 rims as shown in the pictures, it will be an additional $500.

Interior is gutted, but I have most of the interior parts still.

Problems:
The car runs well, but will overheat. Windshield has a long crack and will need to be replaced. The tach doesn't work. Due to the new head/cams, the car needs a tune. The power steering fluid is leaking.

Because of the overheating, it should be trailered home, so to anyone that buys it in the Reno/Sparks area, I will trailer it to you for free. If it is bought by someone outside of this area, I will only charge a one-way gas fee (as long as it's within a single day's travel distance).

Please call 775-762-0996 if interested or further details.
