Reno Area anybody?
Well my racing season is OVER this year...saw a nice puff of white smoke in 3rd gear yesterday taking off to my buddies wedding...did it a little more in 4th..watched all temps checked all fluids checked for carbon in the water nothing...did compession check today....150 in 1,2,4 and 120 and 125 in 3...compression ring and oil rings going bye bye..time to start looking for some pistons, rods and other stuff. How nice..
I've got 86600 and some change. I guess considering how many miles I have and how much I've raced it, the car has held up well. I also have no idea how the other two owners treated it. Oh well I was planning on doing it next spring anyway just looks like I'll be doing it sooner.
I have some stuff to sell:
1) set of Evo 8 stock mags tires on them are my track days and almost slicks 350.00
2) Evo 8 Hawk HPS front and rear pads new in the box (100.00 for both)
3) front and rear stock disks 5K miles on and resurfaced like new (125.00)
4) O2 Sensor "new" Front (50.00) straight from Buschur
5) Original turbo (VIII) 250.00

Thought I might post this up tuned a Evo about 3 weeks ago... Evo ix mr,
Mods: AMS intercooler, upper intercooler piping, intake, megan mani, walbro and snow performance meth injection. oh and full exhaust of course.
28-29psi afr is 12.3-12.4
PS load shown is calculated load.. forgot to log 2-byte...

yeah...kind of a must do it...since #3 is low might as well just rebuild bottom end..Keeping it 2.0 however...
still tearing it down...I now need to replace clutch, flywheel, and serp. belt tensioner.
The clutch plate had one spring retainer lip broken on one end. The plate has a stress fracture by another spring...Oh the flywheel bolts did not cooperate so I must cut and air hammer them apart to get flywheel off. I keep finding a few minor things that have been robbing me of power like my cracked o2 housing...hahah how nice..well I've gotten pretty lucky to have no major failures..
