Hey guys! I'm leaving for Sacramento in about 3 hours. Do I need to go out and buy chains, or will they let me pass with just the ACD?

 

Call road conditions first before you head out.I know roads are nasty up there.Drive safe..

 

nvroads.com and 877-NV-ROADS when you're on the road. 4wd or chains so they will let you get by. Hope you're on all season tires, I wouldn't try with stock advans or other summer/dry tires. Be safe and take your time.

 

Thanks guys! I just wasnt too sure if they consider ACD equivalant to 4wd. And, I've never put on chains, and would never want to...

 

Put my wheels on this morning. The wheels are Rota G-force 18x9 with Ventus K104 245-40-18. The rotas are pretty nice. The paint on it is nicely done and although there are microscopic blemishes that you'd have to look real closely with very good lighting, I'm satisfied wih the quality. It is heavier than stock, but it's not that significant and I can't tell when I'm driving around. Here are some pics that I took from my cell. I'll get the car washed and get some better pics later.

 

Looks good Hee! Curious as to how those tires are. I've been looking at Hankooks for a cheap alternative and they seem to have good performance so far.

 

I had no problem getting up Mt. Rose when the roads were bad with my ASX's had a cop following me and didn't get pulled over.

went up donner pass yesterday fo some snowboarding., road was nasty., i have on nitto 555 summer tires and the car was fine., i had to give extra space for me to slow down cause if i hit the brakes hard, the car slides a bit....just drive slow and be extra cautious.

 

I have one., I dont remember eactly but i think its about 400 miles or so., also im im in fallon, donno if ur willing to drive down here??? make me an offer.

Nice! You should come up to Rose and see if you can keep up with me! lol I haven't gone in two weeks cause its been so damn windy up there. Hard to get down the mtn. when the winds blowing you back up...

 

That was actually my first time EVER snowboarding...spent most of it on my arsh.....still had a blast tho. , cant wait to try it again.

 

Still debating but i will eventually.Dont you have the megan manifold?
