Reno Crew thanks for the Welcome and the beta on local shops.

I got a question. In the Bay I could go to Speed Element, Vishnu or Works for a tune or I could stay local and tune w/ Mellon. Any input would be great. Thanks.

Do any of you take your cars out to RFR for test and tune?

From the symtoms that you are giving i believe that it is your transfer case. My advice is to stop driving the car before it gets worst or else your transfer case will be unrepairable. I had mine go out at 13,000 miles. At first it was berely noticeable then it started getting louder and louder. The car would still drive fine. I had to get a new one from shepherd. At shepherd they told me that my t case went out because they gave me the wrong oil at allison mitsubishi(75w85). They told me that ,that oil was too thin. The correct oil to use is (lsd 90w). I went to allison and they denied it.They said that 75w85 is correct one to use. I even checked in the owners manual for t-case oil and it says to use lsd w90.

Thanks, eponti...I kind of like the idea of the eflash b/c I would be more involved with the process and might learn something more than if I just dropped it off for a tune.

K&N, TBE w/ test pipe.

It's only a month old but unfortunately I got to take it to Mits to look at my trans. In 2nd gear off throttle no load on the engine it pops out of gear at about 2k rpm.
Not happy with the thought of the Stealership taking a brand new car apart...

You might want to jack the car up and re position your springs.

Even for a tranny issue? I thought mods had to be related to the issue for them to care...at least w/ other cars I have owned.

It depends on their mood.A lot of times the service advisor can be really picky.
