Nope, i have a RR X with rally armor mud flaps. The only other X i have seen is a WW with tint also. I have seen it by Savers across from Costco on Plumb ln.

How much is the AutoX? Do i just show up, pay and entry fee and drive? There site sucks for event info. Do i have to wear a helmet and if so can it be a dirtbike helmet?

Yes its scca. You would not have a good time with your setup on an autox course. Just get set for RFR and you will have a blast on the front straight. Jer.k hits 140 on it.

Ohh hmm havent seen it around yet. If you need a clear bra let me know! ahah. I've done a few X's.

Umm last year it was $40 I believe. If you plan on autox'ing alot then getting a membership will save you some cash. But yea its that simple, show up, sign your life away saying you wont sue anyone if something happens, tech in then drive. Bringing your own helmet is constantly a big issue. If I remember correctly it has to be DOT x certified. If that doesnt work out RenoSCCA brings helmets that you can borrow free of cost.

Umm I dont remember what the sq. ft. is on an X as price is based off amount of material. But it would be in the neighborhood of $500-$600. We only use Ventureshield film which is the #1 film in the industry, clearest film on the market, and also has a lifetime warranty. Other brands like 3m, Lumar, Avery have 5-7 year warranties.

I have that on my car put on from you guys a while ago and still looks great. Around here if you don't want sand blasting on the front of your (new)car you need this! It needs to be hand waxed a couple times a year but still can't really notice its there. Also, they put strip over the headlights and mirrors which is good. I remember talking w/ the owner about some kind of thing that was supposed to protect the windsheild from sand and rocks, was at sema I think back in 06. Anything new on this?

Yup Jeremys got it, you take care of the film as you would take care of your paint. Yea the windshield film has really becoming more popular over the past year. What it really is security film. Security film is used primarily on the windows of business's, its a more commercial product. But it has made its rise in the auto industry. Trimline was doing security film on windshields for a little while but I believe they stopped, not sure why.

oh alright...I thought it was something else that they were using other than film. Maybe they stopped because of the wipers maring the surface, sliding over dirt and what not?

We had some older windshield film laying around so our tinter put it on his car and it really wasnt terrible clear and the windshield wipers did work on it. I dont think the technology is there for the film to become full proof yet.
