Hey everyone, I've been on these forums since July and just now stumbled across this thread so I thought I'd introduce myself...better late than never I guess. My name is Kyle and own a 2003 TB Evo VIII with UNR plates, bought it back in July as well so I'm a fairly new Evo owner. Car currently is lightly modified and serves as a DD. I don't have any major goals, just to maintain the car and upgrade every now and again if funds permit. Anyways it's cool seeing other Reno Evo owners on here and hopefully I can get to know some of you guys in the future.

Welcome Kyle, good plan on maintenance 1st as alot of peoples priorty when they get thier cars is go fast 1st and end up paying later for it.

 

Yes, welcome. As Jer.k said about the up keep. if you are near 60k miles start getting ready to do the timing belt and water pump.

Hey is there anywhere in Reno where I can buy Amsoil products?

Also where would you guys recommend getting a new clutch installed? Anyone around here do good work?

 

Not to shamlessly plug myself in lolz but I can help you w/ your clutch install. Also, I do use Amsoil along w/ stock LSD Diaqueen for the TC and rear diff if needed when doing the clutch work.

Matt, I'm not aware of anywhere you can walk into in town and buy over the counter Amsoil stuff but I do have extra SSo 0w-30 I use in my car along w/ Wix and EA amsoil filters. I also have a bunch of MTG 75w-90 trany oil along w/ 600GL4 brake fluid.

 

Yup I happen to know where you can buy it off the shelf. However they mark it up pretty good. I know a local distributer that can get everything you want.

 

anyone know where i can get an oem headgasket and intake and exhaust gaskets here in town?

 

how much for the clear bra?
